Aaliyah

Aaliyah is an 18 month old, female Collie and Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, who came to the Mayhew as a stray. She is a sensitive soul who is eager to please. Intelligent and quick to learn, she would make an ideal agility dog. 

She will need to go to training classes to keep her active brain busy. She is good with other dogs, walks well on her lead, and is generally submissive, sweet-natured and affectionate. She loves having her ears massaged. She does, however, have a naughty habit of nipping at people’s ankles.

She will, therefore, need to be muzzled when being exercised off-lead, and cannot be homed with children under sixteen years of age. We do not know how she copes with being left home alone or whether she is house-trained.

Aaliyah is looking for a loving new home with an experienced owner who has owned Collies or Collie-types before, where she will make a wonderful, loving companion. Her new guardians will be taking on a fifteen year commitment, which must not be taken lightly.

No appointment is neccessary for these times but there will be a waiting period, particularly on Tuesdays and Fridays when we tend to have more visitors.
