Abby

Abby is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross aged around 3 years old. She was handed into rescue after her owners bred her three times to make profit on the pups and then got rid of her. She has had 19 puppies to date!

When Abby arrived in rescue she was heavily lactating because her puppies had been taken away from her too early. She developed the starts of Mastitus because she was so full of milk, but after a course of antibiotics she was fine and is due for spaying next week.

She will also be micro-chipped and start her vaccinations now that she is well enough. Abby is great with other dogs, excellent with cats and has lived with young children with no problems. Unfortunately Abby does not like to be left for long periods of time and although we are working on this further training to build her confidence will be needed.

On first sight Abby will bark at strangers, but it is nothing to worry about because she doesn’t mean anything by it and once she gets to know you she is very loving and affectionate.
