Adair is a two year old male Greyhound. He is a quiet and quite shy boy and as such, didn’t have a long racing career. Adair is currently in foster with other Hounds and Collies, both male and female without issue. Ideally a home with another Hound or Hounds would be ideal for him as he does prefer to have other dog company. He can be left for up to four hours in his crate if his fosterers are out and settles well.
Adair was not housetrained but he learnt fast being clean in a couple of weeks with just the odd accident to start with. He is now clean in the home. Adair is good in the house and he sleeps in a bed next to his fosterer, he goes straight to bed when told and he will stay quiet all night. Like many ex-racers who never had the chance to be a puppy, as he is starting to get relaxed with his fosterers, his lost puppyhood is coming out and he loves to play.
There has been a huge improvement in Adair since his arrival. He has certainly been abused somewhere in his past, so understandably, he was very nervous on arrival. His improvement has been slow but steady.
Adair has started to play and he will approach his fosterers for a fuss, but he can still be slightly shy of strangers. A quieter home with other hounds would be ideal for him. Adair is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and flead and wormed. He can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful homecheck.
