Aggie is a 5 year old Working Labrador – A survivor of horrendous life circumstances and rescued from a killing station in Cyprus. She is blind in both eyes but we think she can see some shadows. Aggie is placid and intelligent and since arriving, has come on leaps and bounds. She can cope with stairs with a little teaching and encouragement and has passed the children test with flying colours. Aggie did fail the cat test so can’t live with cats, but is great with other dogs. Aggie is house trained but if left alone is prone to stress incontinence – but this is easily solved with crating and confidence.
Aggie would love a forever home where she is stimulated as she is intelligent and learns quickly. She has learnt English and can walk off the lead and responds to commands. She loves the freedom of the fields so she can run but also walks well on a lead when shown the pavement heights or told to step up. Aggie is a perfect family dog and would suit any type of family. Due to her anxiety at being left for longer periods she may better suit a family where someone is home most of the day.
She spent a day at an open day for a Arts Project – as a learning tool for blindness – she loved the fuss and responded to all the hands and people not phased at all. This is a wonderful testament to her fabulous nature.
Her current foster carers love her dearly but they she is now well enough to find her forever home. Please email us if you are interested in offering Aggie a home. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Thank you
