Alan is a Labrador cross, almost 4 years, in a foster home in Maidstone, Kent. This lovely lad is Alan who has just arrived in foster with Auntie Vicki. Poor Alan has spent most of his life living on a chain, and within 24 hours is going out for daily walks, loving his cuddles, and gets on well with the other 3 dogs in the house.
Please read Alan’s sad story: Alan was given a lease of life by our trusted rescuer Carmen in Romania from certain death in a cruel public ‘shelter’ in 2015. Alan sadly did not realise that living on the land that Carmen rents was a safe haven and he jumped the fence and was caught by the dog catchers again. Luckily Carmen rescued him again in time from death.
So Alan was on a chain because he could still jump the short fences in the private shelter. Although he wasn’t at risk of being put to sleep anymore in the pound, he lived a sad life as he couldn’t run or walk around much. He cried for human touch and loves cuddles.
Alan is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and deflead and has a passport.
If you want to give loving Alan a safe and secure forever home, please fill in our pre-adoption questionnaire at silverpawsrescue.org.
