Alfie – 2 1/2 year old male Parson Russell Terrier
Alfie is a very handsome 2 1/2 year old Parson Russell Terrier. As a puppy he developed a problem with his leg which went untreated for two years. He was then gifted to us and a vet check revealed he had been struggling with a broken, diseased hip. No wonder he was grumpy and frustrated! While we repaired the damage, Alfie’s temperament has remained unpredictable – he has learned that baring teeth gets him his own way and uses this to great effect.
His current owner adores him and in many ways has polished this rather lovable rough diamond so he is capable of shining! However, she has young children and in her heart knows she needs to be able to trust a family dog 100% at all times.
We urgently require an owner without young children and cats but with good, solid experience of Terriers – in particular wilful ones. Alfie is certainly a challenge, but he is still young enough to learn better manners and the rewards to transforming a dog like him will stay with you forever.
Inside Alfie we are convinced there is a nice dog yearning to get out, and he is capable of great affection – could you be the owner with the magic key?
