Alfie – 2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross American Bulldog
Alfie is a wonderful 2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross American Bulldog who is on foster in Merthyr Tydfil. He is a real family dog, he enjoys the hustle and bustle of family life and it means lots of cuddles for him. Although he could be too bouncy for very small children, so perhaps 8 and older.
Although Alfie has been great when meeting dogs outside his foster home we are unsure how he would react with dogs in his home so unless you were local to him and introductions could be made over time then we would probably only rehome him as an only dog.
He has met cats in his foster home and ignored them but outside he will chase so again careful introductions would be needed with someone experienced with this kind of introduction. He is very interested though in the small furries in his foster home so we wouldnt feel happy rehoming him where he had access to small furries.
He can be left happily for a few hours but would need a minimum of an hours worth of walks every day, he loves his walk and gets very excited at the beginning and can pull, but he soons settles down. His basic obedience is good and his recall offlead is perfect without distractions and getting better daily even with distractions.
A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet Alfie with your own dogs and family.
