Amanda is a three and a half year old medium to large sized Cross-Breed dog. Amanda is fostered in Norwich (FR088). I couldn’t guess at or tell you a definite breed but she is unique and she is a stunner! She has the most beautiful amber eyes which I haven’t been able to photograph with any success yet.
Amanda is affectionate, rather adorably so, she will happily come up for a fuss and then lay down where she can see you. She is doing well with lead training and can be left for periods of time without being destructive or noisy.
Amanda has been very enthusiastic towards the idea of regular meals and occasional treats – it seems food is the way forward for any training! Amanda is currently living with several other dogs and could live with a dog again in the future. Establishing a relationship with the other dog could take a few days as Amanda has been used to having to hold her own in the shelter and she can be a bit worried about how new dogs will be with her at first.
Any relationship takes work on both sides and a few days of establishing boundaries is a small price to pay for a long term friendship. Amanda has been around children of 8 years upward and was very good with them. Yet again we are left bewildered at how such a lovely girl could have been overlooked for years in a shelter in Romania. She is a very sweet soul who has been ignored for too long and would love a home to call her own and companionship forever.
