Amber and Blade – 7 year old male and female Boxers

Amber (small with white on her face) and Blade (large with dark face) are two 7 year old Boxers who are still living with their current owner but have been signed over to us for rehoming. The owner has gone through a marriage break-up and does not have the time to give them what they need. They only get one walk a week and don’t have a garden that’s suitable to burn off energy. They are currently in foster care in Macclesfield and are healthy, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed and flead. Blade is castrated and Amber will be spayed shortly.

Both dogs are great with children having been brought up with them. They are both very friendly dogs with lots of character. Blade is good with dogs, however Amber can be quite vocal towards them and isn’t keen on smaller dogs. They can’t be rehomed with cats. Neither dog is possessive over anything but Amber doesn’t like it if Blade were to interfere when she’s eating.

They both know a few commands, they are good on the lead but can pull, they travel well and both like to be bathed and groomed. They even share the same crate but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to stretch out and laze around in normal beds! Sadly they are both put outside a lot which they don’t like; they love the company of their human friends!

Amber and Blade are brother and sister and we feel that they would benefit from being rehomed together. As the videos show they like to have a good play and are very close. They will be less energetic than the video depicts having been in a crate all day and not having been walked.

You need to have had dogs before, ideally two at a time. These are two beautiful dogs with temperaments to match, how can you resist their cute scrunched up Boxer faces?!
