Archie – 2 year old male Shih Tzu

Archie aka Le Floof! Archie is a 2 year old male Shih Tzu. He cannot be homed with children. He cannot be homed with other dogs. He cannot be homed with cats. Archie originally came to us via one of our rescue contacts – he was very close to being put to sleep by his previous owner due to aggression. Archie has been in foster for about four months and we have learnt a lot about him. Archie does have bite history. This of course means that he cannot be rehomed with children. Archie is a fantastic little dog. He has come on leaps and bounds in his foster home. He is by no means easy but when following the right procedures to make him feel safe and happy, he is the most wonderful little dog. He is very driven by food and loves his grub! He absolutely LOVES to play! He will play tug and roll around for hours with you. Affection makes him uncomfortable – however over time when he begins to trust you he will come over and want to be cuddled.

Archie needs a very very special forever home. Adult only. Someone patient, loving and extremely understanding – when given the chance he shines brighter than the sun – he just needs someone to believe in him the way that I do – and to not take it personally or get angry at him when he reacts the way he sometimes does. He is so so loveable and really does deserve that perfect home. He is such a character and would brighten anyone’s life. He does have fussy phases! He is in good health and located at Glendee Kennels, Hertfordshire.

Training requirements, ongoing support is a must for Archie. Both from one of our behaviourists (minimum of two 121 sessions) and also from Michelle (his foster mum). He is a very complex little man and everything you do and the way in which you do it will either result in a happy Floof or an angry Floof!

The world is a very worrying place for Le Floof, could you be that special person to help him see how truly fabulous life is?
