Arnie – 6 year old male Akita

Introducing Arnie, a slightly older male looking for a new home due to his current owners having a young child. Arnie is very friendly and affectionate towards everyone that he meets, and loves to lean in for a fuss. He isn’t house destructive and can be left alone in the house for a few hours without any problems. He travels well in the car, and loves to play, especially with squeaky toys, although he does have a tendency to destroy them! He had both hips replaced when he was younger, which don’t give him any problems but has left him with a fear of the vets. Despite this, he does pull on the lead, so his new owners will need to work on this with him.

Arnie currently lives with another smaller dog but otherwise has not been tested much with other dogs, so he could possibly live with another female pending successful introductions. He cannot live with cats and has never spent much time with children, so we would only consider a family with older children who are used to having large dogs around.

If you think you could offer this lovely boy a new home, please get in touch!
