Asproula – 4-5 year old female Cross-Breed

Asproula is a female mixed breed dog of about 4 or 5 years old. She came into the rescue shelter in October 2010 with her son, Asproulis, and 9 other dogs when their homeless owner sadly passed away. We think Asproula is mostly pointer, and there may be a little bit of collie in there too. She weighs about 25 kilos and is quite a stocky girl. She is healthy and fully vaccinated, and has been neutered and microchipped.

Asproula is a very loving girl, although a little shy initially. Once she knows you she does like to jump up to greet you. This is not in an over-bearing way, and can be worked on easily in a home environment. One of the regular volunteers at the shelter says: She walks and then stops and then turns around and jumps up as if to say “Hey, thanks for taking me out!” Asproula is good with children, and can also be homed with other dogs, provided she can be the boss! She has lived with cats previously so she is cat-friendly, provided careful introductions are made.

This lovely and loving lady has spent too long chained up at the rescue. We know she will make a superb family pet so the rescue has prepared her for travel to the UK. Asproula is now the proud holder of a Pet Passport and the rescue is trying to raise the additional funds needed to pay her fare to the UK. If you have an Asproula-sized hole in your life and are able to help pay for her transport, you will have a lifelong companion by your side who will teach you as much about enjoying life as you can teach her! We’ll be helping Asproula pack her bags towards the middle of December and she could be relaxing at your feet while you eat your Christmas dinner.

If Asproula has no home offer when she arrives, she will be fostered with one of our volunteers in the South East. It would be so much better for this beautiful lady to go straight to a loving family home. Please contact us as soon as possible at friendsofanimals-uk@live.co.uk or by phone on 07932 948064.
