Ellie – 2 year old female German Shepherd Dog
Ellie is a black German Shepherd Dog who is 2 years old. Ellie’s owner is expecting a baby shortly and cannot give Ellie the time and training she needs. Ellie is a very intelligent, energetic dog who needs lots of attention and exercise. Despite being well socialised from an early age she later developed a fear of other dogs and can be nervous at times.
She has attended training classes and picks things up quickly. She can sit, stay, get in her basket on command and is very good at fetch. She picks up commands very fast and is very intelligent. She walks well on the lead although she pulls a little at times. Off lead she is perfect and will not stray but she does not like other dogs approaching her. Ellie has been neutered, fully vaccinated and has been regularly wormed and de-flead.
Ellie needs to be rehomed as an only dog to a home that is experienced in the breed and is willing to take her to training classes to iron out some of her little issues.

Marvin is a 2 year old male Rottweiler who came to us as a stray. He is a great chap! He is a little overpowering but once introduced to a head collar he is respectful to his handler and a pleasure to walk. He comes across as being sociable with people and other dogs which is great.
His main issue is lack of training-but this should be fun as Marvin loves treats and is keen to please. He has lovely eye contact and can hold his attention well for food. Marvin will be fully vaccinated, neutered and fully vaccinated before being re homed.
Baron – 10 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross
Baron is a 10 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. Baron has lived with children over 10 years of age. He is with us as he becomes distressed when left and can not cope with the new baby in the house. Baron would be ideal for an older person that likes to go for long walks each day. He has lovely eye contact and seems to have been loved at some point. He needs to feel part of a family again and be included in daily life. Baron is house-trained and knows a few basic commands. He is neutered and fully vaccinated. He is also micro chipped.
Tiger – 8 year old male Rottweiler Cross
Tiger (also known as Ty) is an 8 year old Rottweiler cross boy. He is with us as his owner has had a baby. He is house trained and travels well. He is happy to be left for 5 hours and enjoys walks. His owner said he doesn’t like black Labradors, but we have mixed him successfully with a black German Shepherd cross girl and he loved her company dearly. Tiger has good manners and knows most basic commands although recall hasn’t yet been mastered and we are working on that!
Tiger was recently rehomed but unfortunately he has come back into rescue as he takes a dislike to people with learning difficulties. He was re homed to a pub and often was allowed in the bar area. After the initial settling in period it was clear that he had a dislike to certain people. On a one to one he is a smashing boy. He is loyal to his handler and affectionate. He loves to play with toys and enjoys walks.

Meet Henry, he is a Collie cross Terrier and is approximately 6 years old. He had a lot of fur loss and was very sore. He has been on regular treatment and is now looking for a good home. Henry loves to go for walks and is loyal to his owner. He is not too keen on children. He is house-trained and travels well. Henry has been at the centre for 2 months.
Bettie – 5 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross
Meet Bettie, she is a 5 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who has been with us since August and is house-trained. She also travels well and has lived with a male dog. Bettie does not like children, but loves cuddles and having her tummy tickled. She also walks well on the lead and likes to sit on your knee.
Balto – 3 year old male Husky cross German Shepherd
Balto is a Husky cross German Shepherd aged 3 years who has been with us since September. Balto is a large boy who needs an experienced owner with no children around. He is very handsome and stubborn at times. Balto may settle with a female dog rather than a male. He will need further training and will need a confident owner to get the best out of him.
Betty – 7 year old female Cross-Breed
Betty is a 7 year old female cross-breed looking for a new home. She is spayed vaccinated and micro-chipped. She is house-trained and travels well. Betty would be ideal for an older owner or family. She knows most basic commands.

Sash a female Lurcher aged 10 years old. She is used to an elderly owner with no young children around. Sash is house-trained and travels well. She is a great house dog and deterrent.
Sheila – 11 year old female Cross-Breed
Sheila is an 11 year old cross-breed female who came in for rehoming after being found wandering the streets as a stray. She is great! Sheila will sit, down, paw, fetch and roll over when asked. She loves balls and will play happily for hours.
She is house-trained and will mix with children of 7 years. Can you offer her a loving new home and place in your heart and home?
