Belle – 6 month old female Siberian Husky

Meet our lovely Belle, She is 6 month old Siberian Husky, brought in by the inspector as she was living in a flat with a GSD and a terrier and the lady was not coping apparently all the dogs were fighting!

Belle is a lovely friendly puppy very sweet and quite petite for a husky, she is getting on fine with the other dogs in the kennels and is very playful, does not seem to have any hang ups.

Please do not contact us about rooming Belle unless you have had this breed before or you have researched the breed thoroughly and have a life style that is suitable for her..

Joey – 4 year old male Parson Russell Terrier

Meet Joey, he is a 4 year old Parson Russell Terrier (we think). Came in with his brother and mother. When Joey came in he was very highly stressed along with his brother wondered what the hell was going on he was so scared. Well two weeks later we have a very different dog, confident and having fun like he should.

His brother was the more nervous of the two and has successfully been rehomed locally with another dog and is getting on great the same with their mum who was 9. So just little lad now left – he is great off the lead, gets on well with other dogs and people alike we feel will be quite a straight forward little dog for somebody just needs lots of love, care and confidence.

Milly – 1 year old female Labrador Retriever

Meet our Milly she is a 1 year old female Labrador Retriever who is sadly looking for her third (and final) home! She was with a couple for 6 months who split up and rehomed her to some people who already had a Labrador – Their Labrador was an older ex breeding bitch very placid and not very active. I think they thought Milly would be the same – no chance – Milly is very much like my lab – fantastic nature as most labs are but high energy and needs lots of excercise – not just let out in a small back garden of which should could escape when she felt like it and the wall was 6 foot! She ate their sofa one day and that was the final straw.

Milly was very obviously bored out of her head she is not a lazy lab who wants to lay at your feet or is going to be happy left alone why you work all day but nor is she is hyper. She just needs the right family or person to meet her needs – she wants to be out and about and will need a lot of excercise and company. She has a fantastic temperament and is great with other dogs, people and used to children.

She just needs the right home if you think you are please email me with details of the life style you can offer this wonderful dog…

Dylan – 14 month old male West Highland White Terrier

Dylan is a West Highland White Terrier who is only 14 months old and still a baby. Given up by his first family because they could not cope with him, rehomed quite quickly but came back due to him pulling on the lead and barking and growling at other dogs.

Dylan is another dog that has benefited from an experienced foster home – the problem with Dylan is that he is extremely anxious and worried, we are not sure what went on before for him but life does worry him.

In the home he is lovely, he is living with 4 other dogs and gets on great with them, is very loving with people and no problem at all. Its when he goes outside he can get very worried which does result in him pulling on his lead and growling at other dogs – now we know he is fine with other dogs so this is just all about Dylan probably not having the socialisation he should have had as a puppy so we need someone experienced who is not going to give up on him and work with him on this – so we need people with older children no young children and lots of time and love and experience who will give him this.

Jenny – 7 year old female Cairn Terrier Cross

Meet our Jenny who is a 7 year old Cairn Terrier Cross. Jenny has been homed twice now and come back. Because of this we have put her in an experienced foster home to get to the bottom of her behaviour. Which has proved quite simple – she has been in her foster home 6 weeks now and is now ready for rehoming.

Jenny has been with the same owner all her life until he died she was found snuggled up to his body. In kennels she is a fun little dog, fine with the other dogs and people a like. When we have homed her she has been fine for a few weeks and then she starts to get her feet under the table and will give you a grumble if she does not want to do something she does not like in both the homes rather than dealing with problem they have been scared of her so Jenny has taken complete advantage of the situation where she has called the shots and her grumbling has got louder and louder resulting in the owners being terrified of her that she would bite them.

In her foster home we have dealt with her behaviour by ignoring the growling and putting her in her crate until she stopped, her foster mummy has not been scared of her and it has resulted with Jenny now not bothering, she is living with other dogs but is very jealous of them so she is going to have to be an only dog. But out on walks etc she is absolutely fine with other dogs she just does not want them in her home.

Jenny is very much loved in her foster home and if it was not for the fact that she is not great with the other bitch in the house she would not be going anywhere – she is loving, funny, very well behaved, she is great in car and off lead her recall is fab – she is very active and her ideal home with be with someone who maybe worked outside and she could truck around with them – as long as you have terrier experience and will ignore Jenny trying it on she will be the greatest dog in the world for you – she loves cuddles – I have met her quite a few times and she is very loving and friendly to me – just need someone who has been around terriers as she is very typical of the breed…

Bea – 20 week old female Mastiff Cross

Meet Bea our little 20 week old female Mastiff Cross puppy who came into the rescue unwanted and brought in. She is unfortunately blind in one eye due to we think maybe an untreated scratch as a puppy. Its hard to put into words how wonderful this puppy is – she is a quiet puppy compared with most her age but has her mad moments, she is very loving and very soft and loves cuddles.

She is fab with children, people and other dogs – very confident pup with no hang ups at all. We do not think she is going to be huge maybe labrador size. She is going to make a fantastic home for someone – we would love to find her a home with another dog and kids would be a bonus as she will make a great family dog – we will not home her to a working home.

Tyson – 5 year old male Border Collie

Meet Tyson our 5 year old Border Collie boy. Tyson came in because of a marriage split. He had been with his family since a 6 week old pup and I would say he found it terribly hard and very stressful being left, he is so obviously a very loyal dog and really could not understand why he had been left, he waited by the door for quite a few days for his master to come back and get him. But thank goodness he has moved on from this now and is getting on with his life.

We are fortunate that we found a great foster home for him and he has settled in really well, he is living with 4 other dogs, 1 cat and 2 children. He gets on great with the other dogs, is fine with the cat but suspect he will chase if the cat was to run. He is good with children but does not seem a fan of very young children so we need a home with children 10 or older, he hides from them, I suspect he has been teased in the past as there were 6 in the family he came from.

He loves his ball and loves to chase it and bring it back to you. He is a very obedient and loyal dog, good off the lead. Someone looking for an older steady collie is going to be very lucky with this lad as there seems to be no problems with him at all.

Luke – 2 year old male German Shepherd Dog

This big bear of a dog is called Luke he is a 2 year old German Shepherd Dog. Luke came in because of a marriage break up – he was happily living with another bitch, cats and children. Luke is great dog with great temperament lovely to be around and is going to make a fantastic family pet for the right home, he is great with all other dogs, people, children.

But please bear in mind Luke is huge even for a shepherd he is also extremely strong but can be controlled with a halti, he also jumps up when excited which is quite a lot, bless him because he is so friendly and because of this will only be homed with older children – even though he has obviously been well loved and looked after he has had little training so needs someone who will be prepared to put the time in..

Ruby – 2 year old female Whippet cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Ruby is a 2 year old Whippet cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was unwanted by a family – We have had Ruby in for over month now for assessment and also because she was so nervous we wanted to build her confidence up before rehoming her. When she first came in she would wet herself in fright when you first approached her so goodness knows what sort of life this lass has had in the past but it really was not good.

Even now she still gets frightened but the improvement in her is immense and we are looking for an experienced home to continue the good work that has been done with her to start building her confidence up in the real world. Ruby is a very sweet natured dog, she has been good with the children at the kennels who are 7 and 9 but once she trusts you she is extremely bouncy and goodness can this lady jump and run and because of this we need a home with older children please. She is so fast and I am sure with the right home she would be a champion at agility. She is good with other dogs and would maybe gain confidence from being with another dog but she would be fine as an only dog too…

Ruby looks forward to hearing from you…
