Beau – 10-12 month old German Shepherd cross Husky

Beau is a 10-12 month old German Shepherd cross Husky. He is jaw-droppingly handsome with a beautiful temperament to match! He is a typical young dog and will need patient owners who are prepared to give him the guidence he needs. He is very very loving and likes to lean against you for an ear rub. He is very playful with other dogs and can be a little dominant, but not aggressive.

He is well behaved in the house but doesn’t like to be left for long. He has stolen several peoples hearts who would adopt him in a heartbeat if their situations were different. Beau is very cheeky, loving, playful, he is a very fun dog who doesn’t take anything seriously! Beau wont be homed with young children, simply because he is a very large, bouncy boy.

If you can offer a home with older or no children, lots of walks and playtime then this is your man! Sense of humour is a must – Beau is very much a laugh a minuite kind of dog who really will brighten the lives of whoever adopts him.

Belle – 1 year old female Jack Russell Terrier Cross

Belle is a gorgeous Jack Russell Terrier cross aged just over 1 year old and is a pleasure to be around. She isn’t keen on sharing her home with other dogs as she gets quite jealous, but on walks she has been fine. Her recall is good and she keeps coming back without being called so she can get more praise.

Belle is very quick to learn and really wants to please her owners. She cannot live with cats, as she will chase. Belle is fantastic with children, very gentle with them and loves playing. She really wants an active home where she gets plenty of attention and good walks – if you can provide that, she would pay you back 10 fold.

Tess – 12-13 week old female Belgian Shepherd cross Collie

Tess is a Belgian Shepherd cross Collie aged approximately 12-13 weeks old with a typical puppy temperament. She is very lively and will only be homed to someone willing to attend training classes and give her and activity such as agility to do when she is older.

http://images.dogsblog.com/shared/3a456879e98566074569e4b4ad72281b.jpg

She is two working breeds in one dog and this should be considered when applying to adopt her – she is very quick to learn and eager to please, which also means she will quickly pick up bad habits if she isn’t taught otherwise. Overall she is a wonderful, playful pup who will make a fabulous addition to someone’s family.

Mushka – 2 year old female Alaskan Malamute

Mushka is a lovely lively 2 year old Alaskan Malamute female, she is microchipped and up to date with injections and is also spayed. She is good with other dogs but she is a dominant female and will not back down to other females so this can cause a problem when finding her the best home.

She is very submissive to large males she has met (even very aggressive males have had her rolling in her back and making friends). She has lived with cats and was good with them but I do not trust her with small animals she has not grown up with (she will chase and kill rabbits and small deer).

http://images.dogsblog.com/shared/d87feec2aed545bbefda2f3309db0504.jpg

Mushka really has a close bond with her pack here but as both of our dogs are females they are constantly challenging each other so I do not recommend her being homed with other strong willed female dogs.

Mushka has tried to be crate trained but with no success, she will bend bars and squeeze out doing herself damage, she will pull off the bolts and even chew off individual cable ties to escape. At the moment she is bedded in a brick built building that has a wrought iron gate across it when we go out and at night time which she is fine with (she did test the gate many times first but has now given in).

She is good on the lead and does want to please when being walked, she will need a strong handler though as she can be excitable at first getting out the door. she is let of the lead for walks when there is nothing around for her to chase as she does love to run a mile plus to every ¼ of a mile you can walk and will come when called if nothing has distracted her (caution will be needed if letting her off lead).

Unfortunalty Mushka does have mild hip dysplasia which will show up after long running walks, she will be stiff for the rest of the evening but this does not stop her being energetic so her walking will need to be monitored. We have been told that her hip dysplasia will not need any treatment further down the line but she will need painkillers to help her when she has gone on a mad run.

She is a lovely girl and loved by all the family, she loves cuddles, loves walks, are very talkative (like a Siamese cat) when happy and also when she is being naughty.

She does not bark very often and is dry in the house. She loves to give washes, and kisses, will wait for her dinner until told she can have it (she does well on both dry dog food and BARF.) she is good with people that she knows very slightly shy of people she doesn’t know but she soon shines to them and will become best friends with them.

She is looking for a home ideally with a large breed male dog or other dogs of her kind in a small pack. Her handler (mum/dad) will need to have experience with large breed dogs that are working dogs and strong willed. Ideally she will not be left for long periods of time as boredom will soon set in and she will cause problems.

More short walks would suit her rather than big long one’s (this will also give her more mental stimulation) and she will needs lots of cuddles ether from humans or other dogs as she thrives on company. She loves to play, and work for treats (any mental stimulation and she will be there).

Tanner – 8-12 month old male Labrador Cross

Tanner is a beautiful, big 8-12 month old male Labrador cross possibly Greyhound type. He came from the same pound as Baxter (also featured on DogsBlog.com). Tanner needs plenty of training in his new home – whilst he is gentle, kind, loving – he is still a pup. He needs to learn boundaries and manners. He has only been here for a couple of days but is already getting the hang of walking on a loose lead – he is a VERY quick learner, and just needs the right home to teach him. He has been good with the other dogs he has met so far.
tanner tanner
Although we are sure Tanner will be good with children, he is just too bouncy and too exciteable to be homed with young children as they would easily be knocked over. He does a beautiful ’sit’ when a treat is on offer! We feel that Tanner has SO much potential, he is a bit of a blank canvas at the moment, but he will be a wonderful family pet. Tanner is not as exciteable in the house as he is on walks, in the house is a much calmer dog who likes to follow you around and watch the goings on. Just look at that cheeky smile!

Stitch – 10 month male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Stitch is a lovely 10 month old fawn Staffordshire Bull Terrier, he is a very well mannered little chap and will suit most families. He loves going for walks and walks nicely on the lead – so long as there is a treat in it for him we feel his recall will be good, but that has not yet been tested. He has been fantastic with the other dogs that he has met so far. Stitch is well behaved in the house, he doesn’t like to be left but he soon settles down. He hasn’t had any accidents in the house. He is an all-round lovely dog.

Baxter – 9 month old male Basset Hound Cross

Baxter is a beautiful 9 month old Basset Hound cross boy who we rescued from a pound. He is very energetic – a real zest for life!! He loves everyone that he meets and is always up for a game of tug. Baxter is still a pup and needs to learn a few manners – he has been allowed to get away with jumping up and generally being a little bit cheeky, but with some firm boundaries this will soon be sorted out.
baxter
He displays very typical Basset behaviour – particularly on walks, it’s nose to the ground all the way! He is very good with other dogs but can be a bit much for delicate dogs, he tends to throw his weight around during play. He has been good with the children he has met so far and subject to further assessment he will be going to a foster home with children. All in all, a typical pup with the well-known basset stubborness!

Dinky – 3 year old female Jack Russell Terrier

Dinky is a gorgeous little Jack Russell Terrier aged only 3 years old! Dinky is very playful, she absolutely LOVES tennis balls and footballs, and squeaky toys, and kongs, and… so on. She is a bit wary of strangers and may grumble, but once she knows you she is all over you with cuddles and kisses. However because she has been known to snap we will not be homing Dinky with any children and caution must always be taken around them, she can only go to a home with adults and sensible teenagers.

Dinky is a very loving little girl, and likes to be with you as much as possible. She is fine to be left and is not destructive, she is also house-trained. She walks okay on the lead and is getting better with her recall (so long as there is a treat in it for her!). Dinky also enjoys going in the car, she will quite happily sit on your lap or on the back seat watching the world go by. Dinky has been fine with the dogs she has met so far, she is not good with cats.

This little one is bursting with character and is sure to bring many years of joy to the right family, she has not been with us long but I know she will take a piece of my heart with her when she leaves.

Tia – 18 month old female Dobermann Cross

Tia is a stunning Dobermann cross female aged only 18 months old. She is a little shy and nervous to start with, but she soon settles and becomes the bouncy, playful dog she should be! She absolutely adores Kongs – stuffed or not! Tia is a very biddable, loving girl who wants to be as close to her people as possible. She is ok being left and is not destructive, but would appreciate someone being around for most of the day.

She has lived with young children, another dog, cats, rabbits, rats and a parrot – although she does show a little too much interest in rats. Tia has been but on the long lead to test her recall, and she was fantastic! She also travels well. Tia is house-trained and walks ok on the lead – a little pully at times but very manageable. What Tia really wants is a family who will love her forever, and a spot on the sofa!

Thomas – 7 month old Springer Spaniel German Shepherd cross

Thomas is a gorgeous 7 month old Springer Spaniel cross German Shepherd, possibly with some Collie in him aswell. He is currently a blank canvas but has huge potential, he is a very fast learner and would like a home where he can be involved in agility/flyball and the likes. He is very good with other dogs but does try to hump – with castration this should stop. He is also good with children.
thomas
We don’t currently know how he is with cats, but being so young until we are sure he would not be a problem. He is a real whirlwind and into absolutely everything. If you have the time and energy to make the most of a dog as enthusiastic as Thomas, please do get in touch to arrange a home visit. He has not had a wonderful past, but holds no grudge to his humans, he only wants to please.
