Thomas – 1-2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier
Thomas is a 1-2 year old male Jack Russell. Thomas came in to the rescue as a un-claimed stray, so we do not have any history on this boy. Since being in the rescue he has become a well loved member of the pack, by both humans and other dogs, he is good on and off the lead, he will grumble at dogs that pose a threat to him but he would rather run than fight, 90% of the time he is clean in the house however we do still catch him scent marking occasionally, but it is only a month since he has been castrated, he is good to be left for up to 4 hours and is crate trained.

Thomas loves his cuddles, he loves to play and loves his walks, he needs a home with no small animals as he is not good with these or goats, however he was fine with both the horses and the pigs!! Thomas is only suitable to go with children over the age of 12 as we do not know his history.

Thomas is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered.

Harry is a 1 year old Corgie cross Jack russel male. Harry came in to the rescue as a un-claimed stray. Harry is a real cuddle monster and loves to cuddle up real tight, he is good with other dogs, but will put his hackles up to new dogs and if a dog goes for him he will shout back but has never gone any further than that.
Harry is good with cats and does not seem bothered by other small animals or the animals on the forest, he is good on and off the lead and can be left for up to four hours and is good with children over the age of 12. Harry is full vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered.

Rosie – 4 year old female Rottweiler cross Labrador
Rosie is a 4 year old Rottweiler cross Labrador female. Rosie came in to us as her owner had to have major surgery on her arm and was no longer able to care for Rosie and give her the exercise she needed. Rosie is lovely in the house, good with children over the age of 12, not good with cats, good on and off the lead.

Rosie is a well trained girl, however she does need a firm leader with set boundaries, she does not cope well with change so a new owner is going to have to understand that she is going to take at least two to four weeks to settle in to a new home, she needs regular exercise and she loves to chase a ball and is a real cuddle monster. Rosie can be left for up to five hours on her own. Rosie is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered.

Daxter – 1-2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier cross Dachshund
Daxter is a 1-2 year old male Jack Russel Cross Dachshund. Daxter came in to the rescue as a un-claimed stray. A great example to other dogs, loves affection and will come looking for hugs. Never pushy, this one is definitely a keeper (he’s actually going to be hard to give up!) Daxter is great with other dogs, children over the age of 12, good to be left for up to 4 hours, he is not good with small animals and he does pull on the lead, however with training classes i think this could improve as he is a intelligent boy.

Chester – 8 month old male Terrier Cross
Chester is a 8 month old border terrier cross male. Chester came in to the rescue as a un-claimed stray, he is a high energy boy who likes to be on the go all day, he is good with children, however we would only recommend him to go with children over the age of 10 years, fantastic with cats, good in the house, good on and off the lead, can be left for up to 4 hours, brilliant with all the large animals on the forest. Chesters bad points are, he is not good with small animals and will bark in the car while your driving, however he is slowly getting better with this with the aid of a water squirter!!

Chester is great with dogs who are bigger than him, but he will have a pop at male dogs his own size ( he has never physically hurt another dog but he does swear at them!), as soon as he has realised they are not going to hurt him he wants to play and is fine, we are not sure if Chester has been attacked by another small dog or if it is just lack of socialization with other dogs his own size, we have been working on this daily with him and he is improving daily.

Chester needs a home that is active, he is quick to learn and very toy driven, so agility or fly ball would be great for this chap, Chester is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and castrated.

Charlie is a 7 month old, liver and white Springer Spaniel male. Charlie only came in to the rescue as his previous owner had a really bad allergic reaction to his fur and after trying every medicine in the U.K with no luck they came to the sad decision that they could no longer keep him.
Charlie is a lovely boy, he is fantastic with children, brilliant with other dogs, we would recommend Charlie to go to a home that is very active as being a Springer he is full of beans, has no cats or small animals ( He has never shown any aggression towards them, however he is far to fascinated with them and ends up terrifying them by constantly watching them). Charlie is house trained and has never been a chewer, he is brilliant off the lead, still needs some work on the lead as he pulls like a train however a course of puppy training classes would sort this and make sure you are both on the same page.

Charlie is fully vaccinated, Micro chipped and neutered.
13Mar2012 | All Animal Rescue Southampton | READ MORECassie – 10 year old female Patterdale Terrier Cross
Cassie is a 10 year old Patterdale cross terrier female. Cassie came in to us as a un-claimed stray, she was in quite a poor state, she is slightly underweight, she had awful teeth and two mammary tumours. Cassie has now had the tumours removed and we had her spayed at the same time, these may come back but her prognosis is good, she has had a full dental to remove all that tartar and is on a weight gain diet.

Cassie is a little gem, she was a good girl at the vets with all that poking and prodding the only thing she did object to was having tablets given to her, however if you put them in food she eats them straight away, she is brilliant on the lead, good with other dogs, although being an older girl she will tell youngster off if they bounce all over her, she does growl if they try and steal her chews however she doesn’t follow it through.

Cassie is looking for a quiet relaxing home, to have her retirement in.
Cassie is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and spayed.

Daisey is a 1 year old Jack Russell cross female. Daisey came in to the rescue as a un-claimed stray, Daisey is brilliant with other dogs, great on the lead, great with cats, ok with kids however we would not recommend her to go with children under 12 years old as we do not know her history. Daisey is good to be left for up to 4 hours, however she does have to be left in a crate (of which she does not mind, as long as she has a good chew and a bit of water) as left to her own devices she will chew the odd random objects left around (she likes to steal things out of bags!)
Daisey has always been clean in the house, however she went on a home trial recently and came back as she was messing in the house, we are not sure if this was due to her not being the right match for the house, however since she has been back she has been clean, we find a good routine works with this little girl, when she has breakfast she goes back in to her crate for 45 mins and then out to the toilet and she will go straight away and along with 2 hours excercise a day she is as good as gold, also being a teen we feel if someone is soft on her she will become a bit of a Diva!
Daisey would suit a active home, who will be firm and fair with her, but also have a lot of fun with her. Daisey is fully vaccinated, Micro Chipped and Spayed.

Joe is a 3 year old male long legged rough coated Jack Russell. Joe came in to the rescue from a family with 7 children under the age of 10, they were worried that Joe was being badly treated by the children and just couldn’t give him the time he needed.
Joe is a lovely boy he loves his cuddles, is brilliant with cats, dogs, horses, cows, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens, when the cat, rabbit or guinea pig runs he will chase them, but as soon as they stop he will stop. Joe is good with older children however due to his rough start we would not recommended him to go with young children, he is brilliant on and off the lead and is very trainable as he will do anything for food!

Joe is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered. .
12Jan2012 | All Animal Rescue Southampton | READ MORELola – 2 year old female Mastiff Cross
Lola is a 2 year old Mastiff cross female. Lola came in to us as she had been found straying, she was un-claimed so she came to stay with us for re-homing. Lola has obviously been beaten in the past and we feel this may have caused her mild brain damage, this does not seem to affect her, the only signs is occasional confusion she will wander off and not be able to find her way back, we find as long as you keep an eye on her on walks this is not an issue.

Lola is fantastic in the house, she is good to be left for up to 5 hours, she is fantastic with other dogs, super submissive, she loves people and cuddles and will often try and convince you that she is a lap dog!! Brilliant on the lead and off the lead ( you just have to keep an eye on her for her occasinal confusion) great with all of the farm animals and basically a dream dog.

Lola is fully vaccinated, Micro chipped and spayed. If you feel you could offer Lola a home call 02380 893188 or e-mail info@allanimalrescue.co.uk
