Macy – 4 year old female Boxer

Meet Macy, a 4 year old Boxer girl. Sadly, due to a change in her owner’s circumstances, Macy is now looking for a new forever home. Macy is a bright loving girl who is good with dogs but not bitches. She has previously lived with a cat and can be re homed in a family with children aged 12 and over.

Macy is used to having someone around most of the time and does tend to bark if left. She will need a home where someone will be with her most of the time and cannot go to anyone working (even part time). Macy is currently in Northamptonshire but we are happy to re home out of that area.

Khan and Honey – 1 1/2 – 5 year old male and female Rottweilers

Khan is a 5 year old neutered Rottweiler male, who lives with Honey, a 1 1/2 year old Rottweiler. Sadly they both need to find a new home, as their owners have divorced and can’t afford anywhere suitable to take them. They are both used to living happily with a 14 year old in the home.

Khan doesn’t like long walks, he get hot and bothered and his back legs ache. He does however like to go out but only for short walks. Khan loves sitting on the sofa looking into the garden and is happy with a chew, he is very good indoors and in no way distructive.

Khan is not good with other cats or dogs and will need an adult only home or one with teenage plus children. Khan will need to be kept on the lead whilst out as he has no road sense and selective hearing.

Honey is a playfully little girl and need lots of love. Like khan, Honey is not good with other dogs as she has had a few moments in the past where they have tried to nip her. Honey has lived with her owners from a puppy and like khan will give you lots of kisses when she gets to know you, They would love to stay together but realise that my not be possible.

Honey and Khan’s owners have given us clear guidelines regarding their new owners. They are looking for committed people, preferably with Rottie experience or at least experience of owning a large powerful breed. Khan and Honey have so much to offer the right adoptee.

If you feel you coud offer Khan & Honey (or one of them) a forever home, please get in touch with All Dogs Rescue.

Smudge and Harvey – 1 year old male English Springer Spaniels

Smudge and Harvey are two 1 year old male English Springer Spaniels. They are both ex working dogs for the prison service. Smudge is a great boy but due to his start in kennels, now that he has nice things such as toys, treats and his own bed, he can be possessive over them. Smudge is an affectionate boy who likes everyone he meets. He is ok with most dogs, not yet tested with cats and will need an adult only home. He is looking for an experienced dog owner who is happy to put in the time and effort needed for training. Smudge likes lots of exercise and is a bouncy energetic young springer.

Harvey is a lot more energetic than Smudge, maybe bordering on hyperactive. He will need a special home with someone completely dedicated to long walks and the great outdoors (you cant wear him out). Harvey is ok with other dogs but can only share his home with a female. Not to be re homed with cats. He gets fixated on shadows and will try and jump at them. Harvey is looking for a home with adults only with previous experience of Springers or equally lively dogs.

Ziggy – 8 month old male Shih Tzu cross Yorkshire Terrier

Ziggy is an 8 month old Shih-Tzu cross Yorkie male. Sadly Ziggy came into rescue as his owners could no longer keep him. He is a great little dog, very well behaved for his age. Ziggy loves other dogs and would like to share his home with one. He will chase cats if they run but is currently being fostered with one who is fine with. He has just started to show an interest in toys and could play for hours and hours. Ziggy is a very social dog and likes to be with you. He is not the type of dog who would be happy with just canine company during the day. He is not destructive at all and is a happy friendly dog. Ziggy can be re homed in a family with children over 6 years.

Sandy – 7-9 year old female Collie Cross

Sandy is a Collie cross female aged between 7 and 9 years old. She has a very sad history. Her first owner died and Sandy was left with no company other than a care nurse coming in once a day to give her food. Sandy lived like this for months with no socialisatin or exercise. Luckily she was bought into us in 2008 and we re homed her to a lady. This morning the lady who adopted Sandy from us last year called to say she no longer wanted her.

We have until tomorrow morning to find her a home (either foster or a forever home). Sandy is pully on the lead as she is still over excited by the great outdoors. She is a very loving girl but does not like other dogs getting too close to her. She is looking for an adult only home. If you feel you can help, please call…
