Roxas – 1 year old male Labrador cross Rottweiler
Roxas the 1 year old Labrador cross Rotti is still needing a home for 2012 and forever. A very trainable neutered male. A big soft lovable hound. Good with dogs, likes to play and has been around horses, sheep and pigs. Because of his size and youth only, children need to be 10 and above.
Cats he will chase but not overly concerned. Loves everybody, doesn’t really interfere with dogs outdoors after saying hello. Doing well in foster in Essex. Call 01277 634406
Milo – 5 year old male Jack Russell Terrier
Milo is a long legged Jack Russel neutered 5 year old male. He is lively and needs lots of exercise, gets on with dogs, but would settle more if he lived alone. He is vaccinated and chipped and ready for his new home, now. He will need a fair amount of exercise, and some ongoing training. He is the victim of a break-up and the new partner doesn’t approve of him. He has lived with another dog and been fine but is barky on meeting dogs outdoors.

This is due to the fact that circumstances have changed and he is not getting the exercise he needs. He would suit a retired person/couple who enjoy the outdoor life and understand the terrier fun mentality.

Buster – 7 month old male Beagle cross Jack Russell Terrier
Buster is a 7 month Beagle cross Jack Russell Terrier male. He is in foster with two Shih Tzu youngsters and although initially timid, bemused and anxious (his previous owners sheltered him from other dogs) he is absolutely loving the company and proving a very quick learner and plays well with the other dogs. He has really come out of himself reports his foster mum. He is lively, intelligent and affectionate but will need a firm hand and some continued training to contain his puppy exuberance. He is brilliant at scenting and will find anything you hide (well, Beagle like). He is a Beagle sized cross breed too.
His previous home had children whom he loved and unfortunately one became allergic to him. They also had a guinea pig with which he played. His foster mum has children of 2 years upwards. He will be a lovely family dog if you have the time and inclination to train and walk him. He will require 2 walks per day (with some of that off leash) minimum and would benefit from the company of a friendly mature dog.

Madge is a 1 1/2 year old smooth coat black and tan Terrier cross with some Manchester Terrier in there. She is unsure of herself for the first minute of so and then demands some attention rather demurely as befits a lady!. gently nibbling your fingers and looking into your face. She is very astute and will make a terrier lover a grand little companion. She is good with dogs and cats and has had visiting grandchildren whom she is fine with.
We would suggest 7 years and upwards for any children of a future home. She will take some patient kindling as she has not been taken out an awful lot. Contact Animal Action Trust on 01277 634406 for details.

Willy is a 2 year old cross-breed boy. He is a breed broken coated black and tan Terrier, he looks Yorkshire breed but is of mixed background. He has lived with lots of dogs and cats and had visiting grandchildren from 2 years upwards. He is a little uncertain for the first minute and then loves the attention. He has not had much ‘going out’ experience as he lived in a largish pack. He has been well loved and is gentle, happy go lucky and a ball of fun.
He will fit into a family with the initial time to settle him and give him time, he has had to previously share, with so many others. He is with Animal Action Trust , 01277 634406.

Lole is 1 year old Cairn Terrier cross Yorkshire Terrier. She is a gentle temperament and loves children (well behaved albeit). She has had the advantage of grandchildren visiting from the age of 3 years and above. She is light golden in colour and very small in size for her age. She is good with dogs and cats also. She will need some settling in and getting used to going out and about with her new family, as she has not gone out too regularly as she has had so many doggy friends to play with up until now.
Roxis – 1 year old male Cross-Breed
Roxis is a male cross breed with Labrador and Doberman in him, he is just one year old. He is now neutered and ready to home. Roxis was bought, by a lad on the spur of the emotional moment, unfortunately for Roxi his ‘previous’ knew no dog training moves and Roxis did not learn much either. But, Roxis is bright and in 10 minutes learnt ‘leave it’, during tug game and ‘down’, without any food offered. Also began walking well in a matter of minutes too. In the right hands, a brilliant large dog.
He plays a convincing game of tug, likes to carry his own lead and will fetch and drop a stick or ball. He does a very posh ‘paw’ which he maintains for a very long time. He gives you a lot of attention when training. Really WANTS to learn. He is a big dog with a big heart, and will make a real good dog as a reward for some consistent training. If you are into big dogs, this dog is a real dream.
Dog training school must be considered to aid socialisation for this big chap. Wants to play with all dogs. Children in the house should be 10+ and Roxis knows no cats.

Arthur is a male Border Terrier of one year old, just neutered two weeks ago and looking for a fresh start. Arthur knew no commands but we found that he is a very driven little fellow with a ball and so can very easily be taught. He will fetch and search for his ball until the cows come home and well after that too. We fling the ball into long grass or the woods and Arthur charges off and stays till he finds it.
Arthur settles in the house like a dream dog after his walk, he is not greedy but just loves a bit of attention and preferable the corner of a sofa or soft doggy bed. He is of course clean and does not chew. He has the attitude of an important character about town. Excellent companion dog for the right home. He loves children and waits for the time when they will come home. He is good with dogs although he did not get along with the male he was with (aged 11). he is now with several dogs and he is as good a gold.
To meet Arthur, (we’ll leave out ‘King’ for now so as not to be presumptuous) call Animal Action 01277 634406
3Nov2011 | Animal Action Essex | READ MOREMilo – 6 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Milo 6 months old smallish Staffordshire Bull Terrier male of an orange brindle colour. Milo loves his foster mum and follows her all over the house. He has settled down well and enjoys his walks and cuddles and play, especially a tug toy. Down on the field, off the lead he stays very close, and comes back immediately he is called. He is typical Staffie in attitude, loves people, good with kiddies. Would suggest 10+ years as he is still a lively young pup.
Milo had been good with the dogs he has met, he is not yet cat tested. Milo will play by himself and entertain himself with a toy for ages and ages, lovely to watch his entertaining little ways. His foster mum thinks he is very handsome and loving and funny.
Remember the Staffie is the only dog they call ‘the nanny dog’, a good family dog.
If you would like to meet Milo at home and let him entertain and charm you, make an appointment with Animal Action Essex 01277 634406
Jasmine – 2 year old female Akita
Jasmine is a sweet mellow, well mannered and obedient dog. What more need be said? Akita girl 2 years, (not too large about the size of a Lab) used once for breeding, but had mastitis. She is good with dogs, not lived with children but fine with visiting children. We would therefore suggest 10years + only. She is a little reserved on first meeting (like most Akitas) but treats soon melt the heart and she is yours. She walks well on the lead after the initial nosiness has past. She likes to look over the fences and garden walls. She is fine off leash and has a little charge around then just potters about minding her own business.
Jasmine is in Brentwood Essex in foster, with a Staffie boy of nine months and they get along just fine. Not sure about cats, she sometimes wants to chase and sometimes can’t be bothered. She will soon come into season and so spaying will be part of the contract.
