Tisha
Meet Tisha, she is a 5 year old speyed female German Shepherd that has been with us since the end of July 2007, when she was brough back because she didn’t get on with the other female dog in the house. Originally arriving here in July 2005, after living with a family since she was a puppy.

She originally arrived here as a very nervous little Shepherd but is now a friendly, affectionate and placid dog once she has gained your trust. Although, she tends to be mistrustful of new people as she had a very bad start in life and has marks on her face to prove it, where a muzzle has cut into her where it had been left on for 24/7.
She enjoys going for walks but pulls on the lead but walks nicely on a harness. She is good with other dogs her own size but wants to be top dog and gets overly excited with smaller dogs; must not be rehomed with cats or small animals and is looking for a new home where any children are aged 5+. She knows most of her basic commands, is a good traveller and quite playful.
Can you give our lass a permanent loving home?

Meet Fudge, she is a 5 1/2 year old speyed female Terrier cross that was brought back to us in October 2007 after five months as they were unable to cope – originally arriving as a stray from Wales in June 2005. Fudge is a very friendly and affectionate sweet lass.
She loves going for walks but tends to be all over the place especially when other dogs are around, pulling on the lead and walking on her two back legs! Fudge will need a ‘refresher course’ in basic obedience, and house training as she has had very little previously. She thinks pulling and jumping around is acceptable behaviour on the lead so will benefit from further lead training.
She is a very affectionate girl who loves her cuddles and enjoys the company of people. She is not destructive, and is calm when left, unless she can see people or other dogs around her and then she will become quite vocal. She would benefit from further socialisation as she has mixed with some dogs but is better with quieter ones but must be home as an only dog. She would make a great pet for an older couple or a family with older children aged 16+ as she can be unpredictable around them.
Can you offer Fudge a new loving home where she can get all the training that will make her into a super pet as she really is a lovely dog?

Meet Ronald, he is a 5 year old castrated male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross that was brought back to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in October 2005 -originally ariving here in June 2005, after being taken from a friend the day before because she had just had a baby.

He is an energetic and playful lad with bags of energy and loves to play with football. Therefore he is seeking an active household where someone is at home most of the time as he doesn’t like being left for long periods or where someone could include him when shopping, travelling etc.
He loves going for walks and is enthusiastic to start with due to excitement and has been trained to walk on a harness. He can be a little wary of new people but soon gains his confidence and is a very friendly chap that loves cuddles.
He is seeking a new home without other animals and where any children are aged 18+ because he is rather boisterous. Can you offer Ronald a new home? Can you give our lively lad a new loving home?
24Nov2007 | Bath Cats and Dogs Home | READ MORECasey
Meet Casey, she is a 4 year old speyed female Collie cross that was brought back to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in July 2005, after only a week –originally arriving here in April 2005 after her owner had died. We always find situations like this very sad for animals where not only have they lost their companion but they then find themselves in kennels.

Casey is a friendly and affectionate lass on her terms once she gets knows you. Although he is possessive of one person to the exclusion of all others – and therefore would suit a lone person household, preferably female as she becomes overly devoted. She is a loving and loyal and is seeking an understanding experienced owner as she is a very sweet lass that has a lot to give to the right person.
She loves going for walks and is good on and off lead and would excel at obedience training. The way to her heart is either through her stomach with treats or to play ball with her and she would quite happy play fetch all day. She cannot be left for too long but is not destructive when left.
She is good with other canines but does tend to get jealous so would need to be the only dog in the house, has not mixed with the felines of this world and is seeking a new adult only quiet home. Can you give our playful lass a new loving home?
24Nov2007 | Bath Cats and Dogs Home | READ MOREBruno
Meet Bruno, he is a 10 year old castrated male Corgi cross that was brought back to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in July 2005, after five years. Bruno is a friendly little lad that bonds well with people and is sweet natured. He was unpredictable in his previous home but hasn’t shown that side of himself here in kennels.
He is a loyal little chap that is quite independent not really a lap dog. He likes to be made a fuss of but only on his terms and can be stubborn so is seeking an experienced owner that is willing to work with him. He adores going for walks and is good on the lead and is currently being muzzle trained so that he behaves better when visiting the vets!
He likes nothing more than splashing around in water and therefore loves it when the weather is hot and sunny so the paddling pools and hosepipes are out. He needs a nice calm quiet household with no young children or visiting children. He is good with some other canines but needs to be the only dog and would prefer a new home without cats and where children are aged 18+.
He is looking for a new home with a female owner - this would suit him down to the ground. He really is a lovely little chap who deserves a nice home. Can you give our lovely little chap a new loving home?
24Nov2007 | Bath Cats and Dogs Home | READ MORELizzie
Meet Lizzie, she is a 9 year old speyed female German Shepherd cross that was brought to the Bath Cats and Dogs Home in January 2005, as she was chasing livestock. Affectionate and very loyal Lizzie is wonderfully friendly once she knows you and trust is established.
She does however have a tendency to be very protective of her owner, home and when out on the lead and has a general mistrust in strangers. She does love her walks and is only strong on the lead when excited and will calm down after a while. Fun, happy Lizzie is very playful and bouncy that loves her cuddles, being groomed and a bit of a fuss made over her.
Sadly Lizzie is going blind by an allergic reastion she has suffered. Our vets have never seen such an aggresive case, as she is now 3/4 blind in one eye and 1/3 blind in the other and at this rate in 2 months time if it continues she will be completely blind. The very best scenario for poor Lizzie is that her condition slows down, so we are desperatley seeking a new home for her where she can fine her way about before she looses her sight.
She is on eye drop medication for life and takes it very well, but because of her condition will need a non smoking household and where there isn’t a smokey atmosphere, i.e. bonfires. Although she has been mixed with other dogs here at the Home she picks and chooses her canine friend and is seeking a nice calm, relaxed household where she is the only pet and without children. She would make a most rewarding and loyal companion to anyone willing to give her a chance.
Can you give our lovely girl a new home before she looses her sight?
24Nov2007 | Bath Cats and Dogs Home | READ MOREBilly
Meet Billy, he is an 8 year old castrated male Jack Russell Terrier that was brought back to the Bath cats & Dogs Home in September 2005, after only eight weeks – originally arriving here in November 2004 due his owners ill health and had lived with him since a pup.

Billy is a lovely lad once he gets to know you but is wary of strangers so would suit a new home without too many visitors. He is a friendly chap that bonds quickly and has come on in leaps and bounds. He is very playful enjoys his walks but may pull at first but soon settles.
He has been trained to walk nicely on a harness but as he doesn’t like being touched all over putting it on can be difficult. His recall is not good so best not to let him off the lead – as he is a typical terrier. He would love a new home where he can curl up in a nice bed after a jolly long walk. He is a cuddly chap and very loyal to his owners – but is protective in the home although he is not destructive.
Billy is a good traveller and would love someone that is at home quite a lot as he loves learning new tricks on a daily basis! He is good with other canines but as he is rather dominant best to be the only dog. He is not good with the feline variety and is seeking a new home without children.
Can you offer Billy a new home? Can you give our lovely lad a new start in life?
24Nov2007 | Bath Cats and Dogs Home | READ MOREPickles
Meet Pickles, he is a 10 year old castrated male Jack Russell Terrier that was brought back to us in June 2006 after only a year as they were unable to cope with him. Nice affectionate Pickles when it suits him, he sometimes reveals his true stubborn side associated with the typical Terrier breed.

He likes a bit of fuss on his own terms and is quite playful for his age and loves his toys. Pickles can get a bit grumpy sometimes, especially if he doesn’t get his own way, so any potential owners will need to be aware of this problem and deal with it sensibly.
He was spoilt in his previous home and now thinks he can rule the roost so is preferably seeking an experienced owner who is willing to take the time to get to know him and work with his behavioural issues. Vocal Pickles loves going for walks, is fine on the lead and has been muzzle trained as he has a tendency towards nervous aggression when in the vicinity of other canines.
Pickles is a middle aged chap that is looking for a quiet home without other animals or children. Can you give our little ‘Pickle’ a new loving home?
24Nov2007 | Bath Cats and Dogs Home | READ MOREBarney
Meet Barney, he is a 3 1/2 year old black and tan castrated male Rottweiler cross, that was brought to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home in September 2004 as a stray. As a stay we do not have a lot of background on him, however, he is not destructive in his kennel.
He takes a little while to get to know you and may take a while to settle in a new home however, once bonded is very loyal and friendly and would make a great companion. He loves going for walks but has shown signs of being protective on the lead so needs an owner who may have had experience with this breed before.
He knows most of his basic commands but would benefit with further training. He loves to play ball once he has gained your trust but hates water and being shut in small spaces, obviously has something to do with his past. He is seeking a new loving home without other animals, children or too many visitors. Can you give our lad a place to call home after being a stray?
24Nov2007 | Bath Cats and Dogs Home | READ MOREBrucie

He especially likes having his tummy tickled and enjoys being groomed. Brucie knows most of his basic commands enjoys his walks and walks well on a harness. He is seeking a new home without other animals or children as he tends to be over protective of his toys and his bones and likes to eat alone!
He is a good natured chap, full of character as he would just lap up all the attention, a real softie – however is seeking an active home where someone is at home a lot of the day as he doesn’t like being left too long. Can you offer our lovely lad a home he can call his own?
