Buster – 3 year old male Boxer

Buster is a 3 year old Boxer male and is so handsome. He is a very big lad and is extremely strong, luckily Buster has impeccable manners and walks to heel and will sit at roads etc when out on walkies. As he has a very short nose Buster shouldn’t be walked in hot weather. He needs to put on some weight as he is very thin, but he is extremely muscular. As is the case with most boxers some foods just will not put weight on them so it will be a case of trial and error in finding the right food that will help him to gain some weight. Personally I think a raw diet will help him to gain the weight he needs.

Unfortunately it seems Buster has had some kind of traumatic experience at a vets. He displays fear aggression when in the surgery. Buster will need some very gentle positive experiences to gradually learn to trust a vet again. He becomes extremely stressed just at the sight of a vet uniform. I think that visiting the surgery and making it a positive experience with out man handling or treatment will be the way forward with him. Lots of treats and praise. This could take a long time to overcome so who ever decides to adopt Buster will need to be patient and understand that something terrible has obviously happened to Buster. Once he is outside of the surgery Buster is approachable again although the stress really does wear him out. Its a sad thing for the poor lad as he is so fantastic in every other way.

If anyone is interested in Buster please give me a call for a chat and to arrange a home check. He is currently in South Wales.
