Puffin – 2 year old female Belgian Shepherd Cross
Puffin is a 2 year old Belgian Shepherd cross that needs a home ASAP as she is very stressed in kennels. She is looking for a person that can teach her manners and give her the training that she needs. Puffin needs a job (searching or agility) that she can focus on and help use her mind. She loves her food and will do anything for it so training should be easy!! Once she has calmed down she loves nothing more than getting loads of affection. She is a very active girl that needs an active family where everyone takes part in her training. She is good with other dogs and must have doggy friends once home. Puffin is a lovely girl that needs people prepared to give her a chance – once away from kennels her stress levels will decrease and hopefully she will calm down a bit!!
Type of home needed: Puffin is looking for a home that has had experience in training and socialising German Shepherds. New owners must be home most of the day, as she will need time to settle and de-stress. An active family is a must as she has loads and loads of energy and will need at least 2 hours of exercise off lead if not more everyday. Puffin would best suit a couple or a single person where she can build a bond with them. A very experienced home is needed. Puffin would love to be trained up for a job, such as searching or agility, she must be doing something! Adult only home.

Mia is 2 ½ year old German Shepherd that needs gentle handling in the right direction as she can be nervous at times. She is very fearful of dogs that she doesn’t know, and as a result she looks aggressive especially if they are not introduced to her properly. Due to this she is looking for owners that are able to socialise her with other dogs, while she is learning she will have to wear a muzzle when out in public. Mia can live with another dog, if it is the right dog, and new owners must be prepared to do several meets before she goes home. She loves her toys and must have these in her new home. After all the hard work with her she will make a wonderful addition to the family.
Type of home needed: She is looking for a calm but active home that has had German Shepherds before and preferably had to work with them and dogs would be an advantage. She is looking for a home that will be able to socialise her with other dogs as she is very scared, she will need to be muzzled when out and about. Leaving hours must be built up slowly so she can build a bond with her new owners. Children 14 and upwards, used to dogs.

Devon is 1 ½ year old English Bull terrier cross. He is a lively playful boy that has loads of energy! Once he has had a good run he loves to have his cuddles too! He is a strong boy that needs owners that can handle him, he walks very nicely on a gentle leader and he responds well to training. Devon loves his food and this should be used to teach him all he needs to know. Devon loves his toys, especially tennis balls – he can hold four in his mouth at any one time! Devon is good with other dogs, but he can be OTT so new owners must be prepared to socialise him once home. Devon will make a wonderful companion in the right home that is prepared to give him a chance!
Type of home needed: Devon is looking for a home that is experienced with dogs, staffi experience is preferred. Minimal leaving hours as Devon is still a young boy! New owners must be interested in training as he needs some guidance. Children 8 and upwards.

Bernard is a 5 year old collie cross that is always on the go! He loves going out and playing with his toys. Bernard is looking for a countryside location as he dislikes mo-peds and cars. Bernard can be wary of strangers, and it will take time to bond - but if you play footie with him he is soon won over. Bernard will need people that are prepared to socialize him with dogs once home as he can be picky as he likes his own space. Bernard is looking for a quiet home, that doesn’t have many visitors. His
new owners must have had experience of collies. Bernard dislikes to be left, so new owners must be prepared to work on this. In the right active home that has time for him he will make a great companion. Adult only household.

Zara is a 6 year old Airedale, that is looking for people that have had a variety of dogs before – terrier knowledge is preferred. She can live with children aged 10 and upwards. Bertie is 4 year old stubborn Basset Hound. He is looking for people that have had Basset Hounds before as he is a very stubborn boy that likes to do what he wants when! People that have had scent hounds that have had problems but have been worked on will also be considered. He loves his food and this should be used in his training, and if you don’t have food he is not overly interested! Bertie is very good with other dogs and must have doggy friends when home, but he is not to live with another dog so new owners can give him all their attention. Bertie will prefer a quiet but active household that will be able to give him what he needs. He can pull on the lead but he is a typical scent dog nose to the floor and walking! Stevie – 1 1/2 year old male Border Collie
Little Stevie is a 1 1/2 year old Border Collie that is looking for his forever home! He has been with the centre for a while now and hates it here and is very stressed. New owners will need to understand that it will take him a while to settle into his new home. He is looking for a collie experienced home, preferably a couple or a single person that can give him a routine to rely on. He is looking for a quiet but active home that will let him settle in at his pace. He does have a strong chase drive so he would prefer a countryside/rural location. In the right home that gives Stevie a chance he will make a great addition.
Pancake – 10 month old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross
This is Pancake, he is a 10 month old Staffi cross that loves to have fun. He is looking for people that have had bull breeds before and will know how to get the best out of him once home. He gets on well with other dogs, he is just OTT and will need to be kept socialised once home. He is very willing to learn new things and loves his treats so training should be fun and easy. Pancake can live with children 14 and upwards, as he needs to learn to calm down and not mouthe. Pancake has huge potential in the right home – so please ask about him today!!!

Pamela is a 2 year old Mastiff cross that is looking for a very experienced home. She does not like other dogs and will have to be the only dog in the household. She is looking for an adult only home as she can have a few possession problems over food and toys so people need to be prepared to help train her and control these behaviours. She is an affectionate girl that loves to go out for walks and give you cuddles and kisses! In the right home Pamela will make a great companion with people that know what they are doing and are prepared to work with her.
Sharon – 3 year old female Greyhound
Sharon’s Chicko is a 3 year old greyhound that is looking for a loving home. She loves to go out for walks, but she tends to prefer her bed! She would love to go home with another dog. She is an ex-racer so she will need to be muzzled when out in public. Sharon has a gentle side to her and she can be scared by loud noises so older children are the best for her, 10 and upwards. Sharon has come out of herself since being here and she has a great character to her, she will make a great addition to the family, so please ask about her today.
