Ruben – 5 year old male Boxer Cross
Ruben is an older gentleman Boxer cross male aged approximately 5 years old who has been rescued and taken in by EGAR. Sadly and unbelievably he has spent over four years in kennels over looked by every one but has adapted and settled in his new foster home environment; still choosing on sunny days to take his blankets outside and sunbath but is happiest when he’s snoozing along side you.

Ruben is one of the EGAR dogs who has come over to the UK for re-homing and is currently in a foster home in North Wales. Ruben has been neutered, fully vaccinated, fully wormed and will be ID Chipped prior to re-homing. Ruben is a charming dog; he is full of life and loves nothing more than a long walk then to curl up at the end of day on a comfy bed by your side. He will make a fantastic companion.

Ruben will need a larger dog experienced home where his owners will carry on with basic training; this is relatively straight-forward and fun as he is food orientated, eager and learns quickly. He is quite a large strong dog and has a tendency to be clumsy, Ruben has never lived with children and for these reasons will only be considered for adoption to homes with children 16 years plus.
Preferably Ruben will be re-homed as an only dog but consideration will be given to re-homing with a bitch depending on temperament and successful introductions. Ruben can not live with cats. He is house-trained, crate-trained, hasn’t been destructive when left for short periods of time and travels well. Ruben enjoys human company, walks and as you can see from his photo-a comfy bed!
After so many years in rescue he really deserves a home of his own, he has lots of love to give – can you offer this beautiful overlooked dog a second chance?

Bow is an 18 month old female cross-breed and has some Staffordshire Bull Terrier in her although she is quite miniature is size, compact and very cute indeed! She is a delightful dog who has been rescued and taken in by EGAR. She arrived quiet and terrified but with some TLC has blossomed into a great little dog!

Bow is one of the EGAR dogs who has come over to the UK for re-homing and is currently in a foster home in Lancashire, she was originally named ‘Puislin’-but English folk had a hard time pronouncing the name! She has been spayed, fully vaccinated, fully wormed and is booked to be ID Chipped. Bow is a charming dog; she is full of character and lots of fun. She will make a fantastic companion.
Bow enjoys the company of other dogs, has lived in a foster home with two cats, horses and chickens, all of which she takes in her stride. She is happy to walk for miles with her ball, play games, curl up in your arms and fall asleep or squeeze in with the bigger doggies-as pictured below! She is easy going, travels well, is house-trained, walks well on the lead and loves human company.

Bow developed a skin condition recently and lost some hair, the exact cause hasn’t been identified; it may have been an allergic reaction. She has received veterinary attention and went back for a veterinary check up on 8th July. There is new hair re-growth and Bow will continue with her tablets for another four weeks and have one more bath in two weeks time. The skin ‘rash’ has greatly improved and Bow doesn’t need to see the vets again unless there is any change, but this is obviously something a new adopter will need to monitor and take advice on from rescue.
