Tamsin is a Lurcher who is about 23″ to the shoulder and she is approx 2 years old and is very puppyish in her behaviour. She gets on well with other dogs, loves to play and rush around as fast as she can to see if any of the other dogs will join in.

She travels well with no fuss and can be left in a crate for short periods, so with some practice this should improve. She walks beautifully on the lead and nicely with other dogs ( I walk 5 at once!) She loves hide chews and a stock of these would be good as sometimes she forgets herself and tries a quick nibble on the coffee table leg or something else handy like the draught excluder!
She loves a fuss, sleeps all night in her crate, likes to be groomed and has had her nails clipped with no fuss. She is a fun loving girl who nibbles your fingers for attention. She will chase so cats and small furries are a no go but she has met horses with no problem.
Tamsin would love to do something like agility or similar with lots of jumping and running and is a quick learner so if you think this lass is the one for you then give us a call for a chat.
Sandy – 2 year old male Lurcher
This is Sandy and he is a 2 year old male Lurcher. He is dog friendly and can be rehomed with children. He is a lovely friendly boy who has settled well into his foster home. He is housetrained, vacinated.neutered and microchipped. He would make a nice addition to any family.
*Update from foster family*
He is a real sweetie so far we have had no major problems. He seems house trained (we have not yet had an accident so fingers crossed) and walks well on a lead. He is also very good a coming back off the lead. I have let him off in camp as if he ran off he would not go far and he has been no problem at all. He loves to run but will always keep within about 100m and comes back when called, particularly when you are carrying some tasty treats. He will sit and does listen to what you are telling him to do. He likes to play and is beginning to learn to fetch a ball. His only major issue is that he hates being tied up. He will quickly chew through any lead you choose to tie him up with and he will whine and whinge the whole time you are away. He also seems to get anxious when you leave him alone. So far he has only been left for an hour or so but I am not sure I would be confident to leave him for long periods. He does not seem destructive but I think he would get very stressed. He would be much happier in a home where people were around for most of the day.
I have been taking him into work and he is quite happy to lie by my desk all day and is friendly to everyone. He loves other dogs big and small but will leave them and come back to you when called. His general demeanour is one of quite a young dog and I doubt he is much more than 2. He really enjoys a cuddle on the sofa and he is sleeping in our bed room as he howls if left downstairs, given half a chance he would be in your bed. He is a really easy dog to have around, he tends to have a mad half hour in the evening but then collapses and sleeps all night.
He is also very good about food for a lurcher. He does not beg for tipbits and will not take things off the counter if you are in the room. He would probably go through your bin if you left him alone but overall this is not too bad. He is also very good in the car and to go for long journeys without complaining.
Overall for a foster dog he really is very good and he will make someone such a good pet. He would enjoy being with another dog so long as he could get some individual attention and although I have not yet tried I think he will be fine with children

Ben – 12 week old male Lurcher
Hi, I’m Ben, a 12 week old Lucher boy. I was found wandering the streets and taken to the dog pound where I served my 7 days and was to be put to sleep! Someone kind rescued me and took me to the Rescue kennels and, after a few days of trying, they managed to get me through the snow to my new foster home in time for Christmas. In that 12 day period I had very little human or animal contact and for the first 24 hours in my foster home I admit I did go a little bit mental! I then realised that I was safe and began to settle in.
I am very bright and love to be trained for treats. My name has been changed to Ben and I come when I am called. I also can sit and lie down to command. I learned this in half an hour! I am really trying hard with my toilet training and have had only a few accidents and they were by the back door, which was not open in time. I was really scared of the dark and of being outside but now I go out into the garden and play with my foster dog Molly who makes me brave. I was also bothered by the car and was sick the first journey but now I sit and look out of the window as I am usually going somewhere nice.
All in all I think I am a super little boy with lots of potential. I will be quite big as I have long legs and big feet, but I also have a lovely soft coat and a wonky ear which make me rather adorable! I would love to be in a forever home where I was given lots of love and attention and lots of training and cuddles. I need to be kept on my toes as I am bright and get bored without interesting things to see and do.
I also need company as I don’t like being left on my own for long. I have met other dogs and puppies and that was great – I was well behaved. I have also met 3 cats and they were boring so I ignored them. I sleep and eat in my crate and enjoy going in and out of it to play. My foster mum sometimes keeps me in there to sleep in the day which is good as I need to rest as I can be a bit boisterous sometimes.
Please ring Linda or Pip if you want to meet me – I know I will not disappoint you. Love Ben.
7Jan2010 | Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue | READ MOREMolly – 4 1/2 month old female Whippet
Molly is a beautiful little 4 and a half month old Whippet pup who is a wonderful little dog but is lots of work. She loves to go for long walks in the woods and thought the snow was the best thing in the world She loves to run and play in it until her little paws get too cold. Molly has had some training but would definitely benefit from some more she is a bright dog that learns quickly but will need some work to iron out the creases.
Molly is very good with other dogs but will need to learn a few more manners and any dog that she goes to live with will need to be willing to put up her constant demand for puppy play time, as she is very playful pup who must run on Duracell batteries as I am not sure how she can keep on going some times.
We haven’t cat tested her as yet but she has met the resident Guinea pigs which she showed no interest in and I am sure she will be fine with a cat that is use to dogs that would put up with being chased a few times before she learnt all the dog and cat rules
Molly is not suitable to be left at the moment as all the upheaval of the last few weeks has left her insecure and not happy when she is left we are working on this but she would need to have someone around most of the time at the moment, if you think you can offer this bundle of joy a forever home please give us a call
