William – 6 year old male Lurcher
Brindle and White Lurcher William came to us as a stray who we think is about 6 years old. He is still a little nervous with kennel life but is slowly settling in. We have no history on him but are sure something must have happened to make him so nervous. William was rehomed quite quickly but returned after he had bitten. This happened during his first night in the home and we are hoping that it was a nervous/fearful reaction to his new surroundings. William needs a home with no small animals or children.

Milo – 1 year old male Jack Russell Terrier
Milo is a 1 year old male Jack Russell Terrier has been returned from two homes now because he nips at ankles badly and he didn’t get on with the other dog in the house. He is good with other dogs but cannot live with one. Milo needs an experienced adult only home with no other pets, which can train him out of his problems. He needs a calm, relaxed home.
Charlie – 9 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross
Charlie – 9 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross who has been with his owners all his life but they have just had a new baby and feel they can’t trust him with her. Charlie is fine once he trusts you but can be a little nervous. He has snapped before but never bitten. He is walked once a day and fully house trained. Charlie needs a calm adult only home. He is a much loved pet but as circumstances have changed his owners feel he has to be rehomed.

Please be aware – Charlie is currently still living in his own home. We have assessed him in this home and gained information from his owners. If you are interested in Charlie please contact and, if we feel you are a suitable home, we will arrange for you to meet Charlie on site.
Charlie is no good with kids or cats but his owners claim he is ok with other dogs.

Jamie is a 8 year old male Shar-Pei Cross who needs a home with no other pets or children. Jamie has just been returned to us as his owner’s home was repossessed. He is finding it difficult being back in the kennels but we are hoping he will settle in soon. He is a neglect case and finds it difficult to trust but once he does he shows he is a really lovely dog. He has had a hard time and we are now looking for a stable home for him.

Jamie came back to us in a very poor condition, he was extremely thin and is currently undergoing vet treatment to overcome this. Jamie needs a quieter home with adults only and no other pets. He will make a great addition to the right family.

Shar-Pei Lola is almost 2 years old. She is not good with other dogs and should go to a family with older or no children only. Lola has been brought in to the rescue as her owners worked full time and she was being left alone for to long. Lola tended to bark when there was any noise outside while she was alone and neighbours complained about this.We are still getting to know Lola and she hasn’t really settled into kennel life yet. She is nervous at the moment but will hopefully settle soon. Lola needs someone to be at home most of the day. Experience of this breed would be preferred.

Iggy – 8 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross
Iggy is a 8 year old Jack Russell Terrier Cross who is looking for a new home. Iggy came to us as his owner had a new baby and he had become jealous. They did have another child which Iggy got on great with. This dog is a really great little character who is really affectionate.
Iggy was recently rehomed but was returned after two days because he barked when he was left. Iggy is good with other dogs, is vaccinated and neutered and is best with a family that has older or no children only.

Roxy is approximately 18 months old and is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. Roxy was brought to our door by a family who could no longer cope. They had a house full of children and sadly Roxy wasn’t getting the attention she needed. They explained that they had originally taken Roxy from another family who had basically neglected her and left her alone for most of the time. Roxy is a real sweet heart but she is not settling in to kennel life well at the moment. We fear she may have been physically abused sometime in her past as she is quite nervous when she first meets strangers and she sometimes cowers.

It doesn’t take long to get to know Roxy and when you do you’ll see just how affectionate and loving she is. Roxy has already been rehomed from here once already but returned as she was too much for the couple. She is a lively young dog so will need an understanding home with someone who is willing to put in the time to help her through the settling in stages. Roxy is still just a pup, she needs a real loving home to call her very own. She would like to be the only pet in the home.

Maddy is a 3 year old white and brown Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. She is vaccinated and neutered. Maddy was brought to our front door and abandoned with us as the child in the family was allergic to her. Maddy now lives in our staff room as kennel life proved too stressful for her. She is very affectionate and loves to curl up on the couch next to us. Maddy is very clean and always holds onto her bladder until she is walked.

Maddy can get quite stressed, she doesn’t always like other dogs and hates cats! On a walk she can take her frustrations out by biting sticks and trees. Once back in her staff room she appears calm and well behaved again. Maddy is a lovely dog but she doesn’t like seeing the vet (what dog does!) Staff can advise how to deal with this situation. Overall Maddy is a great dog, typically staffy type, loves life and very happy.
Maddy needs an adult only home with no other pets. She would like a kind, calm owner who will let her snuggle up on the couch! She really will make a great friend if given the chance!
