President - 18 month old male Japanese Akita
President (ref 91) is an 18 month old male Japanese Akita. He is a friendly and handsome dog, rescued from his original owner and currently residing near Doncaster. Untested with children and cats, President seems unbothered by other dogs, and therefore could potentially live with the right female. He walks well on the lead, sits and gives paw!

Bear - 4 year old male Japanese Akita
Bear (ref 97) is a lovely Japanese Akita dog aged approximately 4 years old. He has no problems with his food. He is very loving, pulls a bit on the lead but with a bit of training this will be easily rectified, he knows basic commands and he will sit and take food from your hand gently.

Rio (ref 98) is a fantastic little Japanese Akita fella aged approximately 1 year old. He is good with other dogs, people and appears to be good with children, though further assessment would be required. He is currently in foster care and was at one stage living with another female, whom he got on with very well.

He is very gentle and responsive. We hope to find a permanent home for Rio soon as he deserves some TLC in a forever home. He is crate trained, house-trained and will be neutered in the next couple of days.

Cally (ref 84) is a Japanese Akita female aged approximately 1 year old who was handed into the pound by someone we suspect was her owner who grew tired of her. She is a young female Japanese Akita with a nice temperament. She needs a new owner who is willing to socialise and train her to ensure she grows into a well mannered young lady. This info will be updated as we get to know her better.

Mia - 4-5 month old female Japanese Akita
Mia (ref 90) is a tiger brindle Japanese Akita aged approximately 4-5 months at the most shes a very playful girl who walks well, who loves fuss. She will need training in basic manners to ensure she grows into a well mannered young lady.

Thomas - 2-3 year old male Japanese Akita
Thomas (ref 80) is a male Japanese Akita aged approximately 2-3 years old. He was picked up as a stray. He is not keen on other dogs but may live happily with the correct female. He will need an experienced owner who can carry on his training. Thomas comes neutered and vaccinated.

Minny - 10 year old female Japanese Akita
Minny (ref 86) is a female Japanese Akita aged approximately 10 years old. She was saved from death row and is currently kenneled which she hates. Minny is not doing well at all in this environment and needs out asap. She has a fab nature and adores people. Her information shall be updated as we find out more about this lovely lady.

Scooby - 5 year old male Japanese Akita
Scooby (ref 85) is a Japanese Akita male approximately 5 years old, he was found straying by the dog warden and brought into the pound. He had a flea allergy which was quite severe, he has lost a lot of his fur therefore looks older.

This poor chap needs a loving home where he can be loved and cared for and get back to his normal handsome self, his fur will grow back in time. If you feel you can give this boy what he needs, please contact us.

Kylie (ref 92) is 8-12 months old, lively young and friendly girl, loves people. She will be further assessed in foster very shortly. Untested with children. Untested by Friends of Akitas as yet. This information shall be updated as soon as possible.

Suki - 6 year old female Japanese Akita
Suki (ref 88) is a 6 year old bitch being given up due to a change in personal circumstances. She is an average sized bitch, very friendly and knows basic obedience. She is great in the car and is currently living outside in a kennel but is used to living in the home and misses this dreadfully.

She is not overly keen on strange dogs when out on walks but gets along fine with her male Staffordshire Bull Terrier male friend, she should live happily with the right male after proper introductions. She does not like cats so will therefore not be rehomed in a household with cats present.
