Star

Star is a very active 10 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who will enjoy an active home with a stable routine. Star was brought to us because her owners were moving to a home where they could not take her. Star loves her walks and loves people but a little training would not go a miss.

She gets on okay with most dogs but may be too boisterous to live with, further assessment needs to be done, she doesn’t get on with cats unfortunately. She could be rehomed with older children, because she can be very boisterous we would not rehome her with young children.

Tess

Tess is a lovely black and white short-haired small to medium sized Terrier cross aged 3 years old. She is very affectionate and sociable with people and other dogs. Tess would make a great family dog as she can be rehomed with other dogs and children over 10 years of age.

However, Tess is not safe around cats, small fluffy pets (ie, rabbits), or pet birds and so cannot be homed with anyone of them.

Tye

Tye is an 8 year old cross-breed who is currently awaiting a new home because his owner had to go into hospital so could no longer look after him. Tye is very shy of other dogs so would be better on his own at this time, however we do have him on a special training program and his social skills are improving quickly.

Tye loves the staff here at FOAL and has no difficulty adapting to new people and could live with older children.

Sonic

Sonic is a 1 year old Collie cross who came to FOAL because his owners went back to full time work. Sonic is a bright intelligent lad but being so young will need someone home nearly all day at first. He could live with both children and dogs but would require an introduction at FOAL.

If you are willing and have time for training classes Sonic may be the dog for you.

Sheba

Sheba is a 22 month old German Shepherd, she is a lively, loyal, friendly girl who is looking for a home where she will not be left for long periods as she currently cannot cope with being on her own.

She has lived with another dog and would possibly benefit from having a canine companion. Sheba needs an owner who enjoys training and will delight in working on her obedience and socialisation. She could live with older children, as she is quite bouncy!

Scooby

Scooby is a 10 month old Great Dane cross who came to FOAL as a stray therefore we have no idea of his past. However so far at FOAL he has been very friendly with staff and volunteers and has got on very well with dogs at FOAL.

Scooby is an extremely affectionate, playful, good-natured, humorous boy who is full of fun but also enjoys a big fuss. This fine looking lad should make a great addition to any sensible family who have time for his training. He could possibly be rehomed with children (an introduction would be neccessary at FOAL for young children).

Saxon

Saxon is a 12 year old English Springer Spaniel. His owners emigrated and did not think it was in his best interest to take him so this fine lad is looking for a new permenant home. Saxon has an excellent temprement and gets on well with everything except cats. GREAT DOG! At his time of life, we’d like to rehome him with older children (5 years plus).

Rocky

Rocky is a 1 year old German Shepherd cross in search of a new home because his last owner became ill and could no longer look after him. This big friendly lad may overpower a less experienced owner so may benefit from someone used to larger dogs. Rocky is fine with most dogs at FOAL but may do best with a female dog or on his own.

He has previously lived with cats but would need to be re-assessed to confirm this is still fine. He would be best rehomed with older children (5 years plus).

Radar

Radar is a 2 year old German Shepherd cross. He is a playful, active boy looking for playful, active owners! Radar will need a fully secure garden with somebody at home for most of the day.

He can be distrusting of new people so his new owners will need to follow FOAL’s advice on settling him in, but once won over Radar is an engaging, intelligent and rewarding companion. Radar can live with other dogs but would need an introduction at FOAL and he would need to be assessed as to whether he can be rehomed with cats. He could live with teenagers.

Pickles - 5 year old male Lurcher

Pickles is a handsome brindle and white 5 year old Lurcher who was abandoned by his original owner. Pickles loves the company of people but would do best in a quiet home where he could bond with just one or two people.

He may be able to live with dogs, but like a lot of Lurchers, definitely has to avoid cats and small furry animals! Pickles rarely gets asked about, which is a shame, as once he builds a friendship with you, he is a very sociable and loyal lad! Unfortunately we can’t rehome him with cats or children.
