Kay

Kay is a 3 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, she is a pretty little Staffordshire cross who came to Foal as a stray. She is a very bouncy but friendly girl who will enjoy regular walks and training. Kay may do well with a calm male dog as a companion but will not settle with any dog.

A little time and patience with Kay’s training and a fairly quiet home with a stable routine will bring rewards for her new owner. She could live with oldern, quieter children.

Lilly

Lilly is a 10 month old Border Collie, she is a young and very active Collie who came to Foal as a stray. Lilly loves playing ball and would enjoy living with a family who have a very stable routine and plenty of time for training and exercise.

Lilly would love a challenge such as agility, working trials or flyball to exercise her mentally as well as physically. Lilly gets on well with other dogs here at FOAL but has yet to be assessed with cats. She could also be rehomed with older children.

Lucy

Lucy is a 3 year old Dalmatian, she has been quite an unlucky girl, apart from being deaf, things have not gone to plan in her previous homes. Lucy is a very jealous character and wanted all the attention and therefore did not accept the other dog in the home and so she can’t live with other dogs or cats, but is fine with other dogs when out and about. She could live with older children.

Her previous owners did very well with her training and Lucy responds very well with hand signals. Lucy would not be suitable for a first time dog owner but would be a rewarding companion for someone more experienced.

Hector

Hector is a medium sized cross-breed aged 11 years old. His owners had to return him to FOAL because they had to go back to full time work, so Hector is now looking for a loving new home.

This friendly lad is okay with most dogs and children, but will require an introduction at FOAL. Unfortunately he can’t be rehomed with cats. Hector is young for his years and loves a fuss and a game.

Dolly

Dolly is a 12 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Not too long ago Dolly was brought to us with horrific injuries to her face and jaw. After surgery and lots of care we did successfully re-home her. Unfortunately things did not work out in her last home and she is now back at FOAL waiting for a new home in which to enjoy her twilight years.

Despite her age she is still an active girl who likes her walks and loves a game of football. She is a real character who is guaranteed to bring a daily smile to the face of the right owner. If given a home where she will have a bit of space and a lot of love, Dolly will be a rewarding companion.  Unfortunately Dolly can’t be rehomed with any other dogs or cats but she could be rehomed with older children (teenagers).

Buster

Buster is a Labrador cross aged 8 years old who was returned to Foal for rehoming through no fault of his own and is now looking for someone new to enjoy his life with. Buster gets on with some dogs at FOAL but may be best homed where there are no other pets.

He could possibly be rehomed with children depending on a successful introduction at FOAL. He is a very friendly lad who is eager to please. Buster is quite strong so his owner needs to be quite fit.

Ellie

Ellie is a 3 year old Cocker Spaniel, she is a lovely girl who came back here due to behavioural discrepencies which made her unsuitable for this home environment. Ellie is very people orientated, so it would be advisable for her new owner to encourage her to have some independence (i.e. don’t have her with you at your feet 24 hours a day - she could become a dog that is impossible to leave alone).

We are looking for an owner that isn’t out all day. She has only recently ‘got to know what cats are about’. Although she may occasionally chase a cat, and sometimes bark at them, until she has been fully re-assessed with cats we will not home her with any. Ellie will require an owner who has experience of Spaniels and dogs who are more of a challenge than the norm.  Although she gets on okay with dogs, we would not rehome her with any.

Sparky

Sparky is a Greyhound aged 3-4 years old, he is an ex-racer who is such a happy, friendly guy with a strong urge to chase so no cats or small animals.

He came to us due to a marrige break up so we do know that he is clean in the house and can be left for periods of time, but he would not be allowed off the lead when out and about.
