Jonesy
Jonesy is a 4 year old German Shepherd cross. He is a happy friendly dog. He is very strong on the lead so will need some further training. He gets on well with other dogs, he has lived with Frodo (also featured on DogsBlog.com) for a year. Jonesy is looking for a home with children over 13. He will make a fantastic pet for a patient owner.
Frodo
Frodo is a 7 year old German Shepherd cross. He is a playful, lively dog. He has been attacked and bitten by another dog in the past and as a result can be fearful and aggressive towards unknown dogs, for this reason Frodo needs to be muzzled when around other dogs. Frodo is fully house-trained and travels well in the car. He does need a little basic training but given time will make a fun family pet.
Pemba
Pemba is a 2 year old medium to large sized cross-breed. She is a lively young dog. She needs a lot of training and she doesn’t understand how to interact with other dogs so she will need a lot of effort put into socialising her while she is still young but she will be most definately worth it!
Pemba is very intelligent and would suit experienced owners who have had terrier or collie types before as Pemba has a lot of these breed types characteristics. Given time and the correct training Pemba will make a great family pet with children over 14.

Roxanne is a 1 year old Rottweiler female. She is a very sweet, happy dog. She loves to play but can be a little protective of her toys so this needs to be worked on in the home.
Roxanne has mild hip dysplasia which she does not require medical treatment for at present but this may change in the future. Roxanne needs some basic training but she is generally very well behaved and will make a brilliant family pet for sensible owners with children over 14.

Jed is a 4 year old Greyhound male. He is an excitable, energetic ex-racing greyhound. He loves to play and will retrieve some toys which is very unusual for a Greyhound type!
Jed loves to chase anything and does get very excited and strong so for this reason is unsuitable to live with young children. Jed will need to be muzzled for safety in public due to his strong chase instinct. Jed will make a brilliant pet for any family.

Laika is a 6 year old Japanese Akita female. She is a confident, affectionate dog. She tolerates other dogs when on the lead but is unsuitable to live with another dog.
Due to her breed type Laika may be unpredictable around other dogs so she will require experienced owners who will be cautious when out in public around other dogs. Laika will make a fun, happy pet for the right owners with children over 13.

Scallywag is a 7 year old Terrier cross male. He is a anxious terrier. He needs an experienced home with no children where he will receive lots of attention and training.
He does have a few control issues and has nipped in the past when he has felt threatened. Scallywag is not good with strangers and can be protective of his owner, these are all problems which can be worked on. Given time and understanding Scallywag will make a loving, loyal pet. He is looking for a home with adults only.

Delmar is a 10 month old Collie cross male. He is a very lively, confident young dog. He came to us as a stray and doesn’t appear to have had any basic training or socialising and as a result he doesn’t understand how to interact with other dogs.
Delmar will bark and lunge at any dog he sees, but hopefully with kind and careful training and because of his young age, it should be possible to teach Delmar how to socialise with other dogs correctly. Like any young Collie, Delmar will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation and would not be suitable to be left on his own for long periods. Delmar will make a fun pet for experienced owners with children over 15.

Chivers is a lovely young Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. He has had a very unsettled life and is now looking for a special home where he will receive the care and attention which he has never had.
Chivers can be a little unruly and excitable at times but he is also very playful and affectionate. Chivers will make a great pet for an experienced family who can give him the dedication and training he deserves. He is looking for a home with children over 12.

Huggy is a 8 year old Terrier cross female. She is a very affectionate, playful dog. She is fully house-trained travels well in the car. Huggy is very anti any other animals so she has to be muzzled in any public places where there may be other dogs around.
This is a problem which cannot be resolved as Huggy is mature and set in her typical terrier ways. Huggy has a lot of love to give she is just looking for that special home where her problems will be taken on board and where she can enjoy a permanent, loving home.
