Samson – 19 month old male German Shepherd Dog
Samson is a 19 month old male German Shepherd Dog. He has been with the family since a 9 week old puppy. Unfortunately since the break down of his owner’s relationship at New Year the lady owner has found Samson too much to cope with and he is being left far too long.

Samson needs a home where he has company and stimulation. He is gentle around the children. He is very good walking off lead but pulls like a train on lead so lead work will need to be done. We will start this whilst in our care. He will need a home where training is ongoing.

He is still complete but fully vaccinated and was done in November 2011. He will be neutered before being rehomed. He is very loving and loves to be cuddled and would love a new home where he will get plenty of exercise and training.

Milly is a German Shepherd girl aged approximately 3 years old who has just come in to us as unfortunately her owner died leaving her and 3 other dogs behind. Family members took the dogs in temporarily but it was only short term.

She is a lovely friendly girl adjusting to life in rescue but is coming out of her shell. She has lived with other dogs, cats and children but is nervous of new dogs. Milly has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Charlie – 18 month old male German Shepherd Dog
Charlie is a lovely looking German Shepherd boy aged approximately 18 months old who was picked up as a stray up north and had been in kennels a few weeks. He has arrived with us and is now looking for a new home. He is a very friendly boy and loves people and is good with other dogs too. He will prefer to be the only dog however. He likes a fuss, cuddle and a play.

Charlie is a very bright boy and will love to have a committed owner to take him to training to learn more. He might like to do agility too as he has a spring in his step. He is not a large dog and is not male GSD size. He is more female GSD size. He is possibly crossed with something but hey …. who cares his temperament is wonderful!

Harley 20 month old German Shepherd Dog male. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Unfortunately he came into rescue due to his family’s circumstances. They sadly could not afford to keep him and so he came in. He is a lovely friendly guy. Great with people and children. Can be nervous of dogs when he first meets them but is friendly after.

He has lived with dogs before and does currently in his foster home and is great. He has good recall and walks well on a lead and often just likes to walk to heel next to you.

Harely is looking for a nice home where he can have company quite a bit and enjoy lots of country walks. A new owner will need to be prepared to take him to training classes to get him to become more confident around other dogs.
13Jan2012 | GSD Lifeline | READ MORELuna – 6 1/2 year old female German Shepherd Dog
Luna is a 6 ½ year old German Shepherd and is very beautiful and loving with people and children. She is high energy and loves the active life. She likes nothing better than chasing a stick or a ball in the garden which she will return to you endlessly. She loves to make singing noises and will always let you know when she is hungry, or needs to go out, or is bored.

Unfortunately Luna is not great with other dogs whilst on lead and does need further socialisation to help this but is not a hard fix. However once she gets to know a dog she is fine. She has previously lived with an older female GSD cross Husky since a pup. She just needs to go to socialisation classes.
Luna is fully trained to commands such as sit, stay, lie down, paw, roll over, come here and on your mat. Luna has come into rescue due to her owners separating and not being able to look after her any more. She is fully vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped. Luna would love a home where she is not left for long periods and can enjoy exercise and runs in the countryside.

Please meet DD, she is a 1 1/2 – 2 year old Collie cross (maybe Irish Setter or Dalmatian) who has sadly been let down by rescuers and rescues in the past. Rescues have promised to take her on but just left her sitting in a foster home since the age of 4 months! She has now had to move from that foster home and to ensure she was safe we have taken her in under our care. She is a beautiful, very loving girl but she is deaf and it seems no one wants to give her a forever home because of this. She now needs a new home of her own or a foster home.

She does know some basic hand signals and is such a loving girl that so deserves a chance. She does sometimes pull on lead but is good with a halti on. She is good off lead and does come back. She loves to play with other dogs and have lots of cuddles. She is has been in foster with other dogs but not met cats or lived with young children. Although she is deaf she is not stupid and is very intelligent and quick to learn. She could be ideal for agility if someone would like to take the time to work with her and enjoy the challenge of working with a deaf dog.
DD is looking for an older active family (children 10+) with a secure garden. New owners must not be out at work all day and be prepared to continue working with her training and socialising. She will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped before going to a new home.
7Oct2011 | GSD Lifeline | READ MOREBailey – 4 year old male German Shepherd Dog
Bailey is a German Shepherd Dog aged approximately 4 years old who has come into our care from a council pound where he was due to be PTS. He came in with bad skin issues and an ear infection as well as weak back legs. After 6 weeks of treatment the vet has given him the all clear skin and ear wise and we are working on building up his leg muscles.
He is great with other dogs and people and loves a fuss. He is neutered, vaccinated, chipped, de-flead and wormed. He now deserves a good new home as clearly his previous home did not care about him at all.
24Jun2011 | GSD Lifeline | READ MOREMac – 5-6 year old male German Shepherd Dog
Mac is a 5-6 year old German Shepherd who was about to be put to sleep in an Irish pound. Thankfully an Irish Rescue took him out and kenneled him till he could travel to us. His owners knew he was there but never came for him, which is probably just as well as he was pretty skinny and smelly.
He is currently in kennels and doing well and eating very well. He is a friendly and silly boy, seems to be really enjoying himself in kennels – must be a step up from what he was used to, he seems genuinely thrilled every meal time and playtime with the other dogs, like it’s the best thing that has ever happened! He is absolutely fantastic with other dogs and people.
Mac deserves a nice new home where he will be loved and taken care of for the rest of his life and not ever be abandoned again! He will be fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped before he is rehomed.
