Andy – 2 years old male Lurcher
Meet Andy! Andy has to be a contester for one of the happiest dogs on the planet! He always has a smile on and his who body wags in excitement to be out and doing things! He is a youngish boy around 2 years old. Andy is probably a collie x greyhound, he was tied up outside a vets just before Christmas period… luckily the vets took him in and looked after him until a rescue space could be found.

Andy is an energetic young lurcher – he is very people focused and has fantastic recall in the paddock – we are sure he is playing a game of chicken with us as he comes flying at 40 mph directly at you with massive grin on face!! Not for the faint hearted but luckily Andy has dodged at the last second every time!!
Andy is looking for an active home – older children only, He could happily live as the only dog. Andy gets on well with dogs of all sizes.

Holly is a 6 year old, very bright and affectionate Greyhound girl. She is very fond of her food, and the proud owner of one of the wiggly-waggliest tails in the world! She is learning all about playtime with toys, and she will play nicely with other dogs. Sadly Holly was born profoundly deaf, but we will happily work with her new family to teach them how to communicate with her using hand signals.

In the right home, Holly may be ok as an only dog; she has been living with another dog and that may also be an option for the future, to help give her more confidence. Holly has lived with cats and we think she would be fine to do so again in future. Unfortunately we don’t think Holly can live with children, as her deafness makes her too easily startled. Holly is currently in Cheshire.

Oscar – 3 year old male Greyhound
Oscar is a big, tall, 3 year old Greyhound boy, with very fine proportions. He’s an excitable lad with a streak of mischief, who loves his walks. He’s learned an awful lot since he’s been with the rescue, including how to play fetch – this very special greyhound will now bring toys back to you!

Oscar is quite a character in his Cheshire kennels and may often be found moving his bedding to sit in the spring sunshine, so he can watch the world go by. He’s very ready to find a family of his own now, and will make an absolutely fantastic family pet.

Max – 5 year old male Greyhound
Max is a beautiful 5 year old fawn Greyhound boy, who loves playtime, particularly with his cuddly sausage dog! When the excitement is over, he likes nothing better than to lean back into your arms for a great big houndy hug. Max is fully housetrained and may be left for a few hours on his own. He loves his walks, and has learnt to walk like a gentleman on his Halti.
We think that Max would be fine to live with older children, but he’d prefer not to live with a cat or another dog. Max is not really enjoying his time in kennels, and desperately needs a loving home to call his own. Max is currently in Lancashire.

Becky – 8 year old female Greyhound
Becky is 8 year old Greyhound and currently living in a foster home with 3 other greyhounds. She is a lovely, lovely girl who regularly gives out kisses and wags her wiggly curly tail. She is a gentle soul who has had a hard life and is now looking for some love and a sofa.

She is house trained and walks beautifully on the lead. She is fine when out and about with other dogs and once back home, loves nothing more than to cuddle up for some quality hugging and to let her teeth chatter in pure pleasure whilst gazing at you adoringly. She is just really sweet and easy and a pleasure to care for.

She would be an ideal first dog for someone but would also be happy either on her own or with some doggy company – but nothing too noisy and busy please. Oh and if you need help tidying up around the house, Becky will join in. She will take all those untidy things and put them in a nice pile on her bed for you to sort through! Becky is currently in the North of England.

Carmel – 4 year old female Greyhound
This is Carmel our little 4 year old shy Greyhound girl. She’s a gentle quiet little soul but I think she’s got more in there waiting to come out when she gets her confidence up and feels safe. She really does have a lovely nature, adores a cuddle and will lean against you if you stroke her ears. She walks beautifully on the lead and is good around all other dogs.

She is in foster with two other dogs and has been a delight in the house – not one accident and well behaved. You would hardly know that she is there except for her coming for a cuddle and looking at you with such soulful eyes that she is impossible to resist. She is coming out of herself a little bit and has asked a couple of the other dogs in the house if they would like to play.

She eats nicely and likes her food but is not excessively foodie and doesn’t bother with the other dog’s food. She settles down at night and you don’t hear a sound from her.

I get the feeling she would like a quieter kind of house because she is a quieter kind of girl. Oh and did I mention that she is awesomely beautiful? Carmel is currently in the North of England.

Here is our gorgeous Emma – a 4 year old Greyhound stunner. And just look at those ears, aren’t they amazing? She’s not a girlie girl though; she is a fun loving tomboy who loves games and toys. Don’t be fooled though, that doesn’t stop her wanting a kiss and a cuddle when her mates aren’t looking!!

Emma is a super girl who has had a hard time but is on the right road now – coat shiny, teeth sorted, manners being learnt and ready for a sofa very near you, hopefully. Emma is currently in the north of England.

Wesley – 3 year old male Greyhound
This is Wesley who is a 3 year old male Greyhound – and a daft comedian to boot. He is a dog with real personality who loves to be with you and be out and about.

Wesley is extremely loving and extremely biddable and won’t take long to train to your ways. He loves your approval and hates it if he thinks he has upset you. And, oh boy, look at those eyes – you really don’t want to make this dog miserable as the look on his face will break your heart. He really knows how to work the sad eyed look to his advantage! One look from those dark brown eyes and you just want to scoop him up for a cuddle.

Wesley gets many admiring comments when we are out as he is so good looking with his white and fawn coat that he really stands out.

Wesley came to us in a very sad way but he just seemed to ignore his wounds and got on with the business of being happy. So, if you think you can cope with being gazed at adoringly by such beautiful eyes, then our Wesley is the one for you.
Wesley is currently in the north of England.

Jazz is a 5 year old Greyhound girlie who has settled really well into home life. She is living with 3 greyhounds, an elderly terrier/whippet cross and 3 cats. As with most greyhounds she enjoys her food but she doesn’t bolt it down. She also walks well on the lead.

Jazz can be left during the day while I am at work and she is clean and dry both during the day and night. At night she is as quiet as a mouse and just waits for us to come down in the morning to give her breakfast.

Sadly for Jazz she was a brood bitch in Ireland, Jazz has a lot of bald patches caused by the stress of having her first litter. Jazz has been checked by our vets and these don’t cause her any discomfort. Hopefully with love, good food and a comfy bed will improve in time, we think we have seen some regrowth already…
Jazz is a very affectionate girl with a very wagy tail. She loves her cuddles and neck rubs and really leans in while she’s being made a fuss of. Jazz is a special girl and so deserves her own forever home.
Jazz is in a foster home with 3 cats but will still need careful introductions and very careful management whilst settling into a new home with new cats.
