Beano – 3 year old male Lurcher
Beano is a 3 year old rough coated Lurcher has been in a home for three years and is coming back to us. Here is what his family say about him. “He is calm and well behaved in the house. He will happily sit on the sofa being stroked. When you let him out into the garden, he goes out, does what he needs to do and comes straight back in. He hates the rain and wind and will try to avoid going out in those conditions if he can. He is not a fussy eater – He likes toys, especially furry ones that make a noise. He is happy to travel in cars.
He has been very good with our little boy, who is just over 2. Beano will chase anything small and furry given half a chance so the garden of his new home will need to be secure – at least five foot fences or six foot hedges. I think he would be best re-homed with another dog for company. When Beano is being walked on is lead he finds other dogs very frightening, so needs to be kept on a short lead to accommodate that.”

Winnie is a blue and white 3-4 year old Greyhound, Her foster family have this to say about her. “She is settling in nicely, she is calm and quiet in the house, gets on well with Cu, our other greyhound, and the kids and her house training is good.

She likes to be with you when you are pottering round the house, but once you settle in one place she will settle really quickly.She likes to go for a walk – gets really excited when the leads come out – and walks really well on the lead.She does not like cats and will bark at them on the lead”.
Bess – 1 year old female Whippet Cross
Bess is a young Whippet cross just over 1 year old, still a puppy really so she would respond well to training. She is very friendly, loves walks, loves other dogs and people. Bess will need basic training and at the moment gets separation anxiety, so needs people with time and patience for her to help get over this.
Joey – 2-3 year old male Lurcher
This handsome Lurcher is Joey. He is 2-3 years old and has a smashing boy who is good with people, children and dogs. He is very intelligent and would do very well at agility or flyball. He needs an active family who will give him plenty of time.
Molly – 6 year old female Greyhound
Meet Molly and Mandy, these are sisters and are 6 year old ex-racing Greyhounds (Mandy has now been rehomed) The one with more grey on face is Molly and the other is Mandy. They are good with other dogs and love people. They were good with the small children running around the meet and greet and are clean in their kennel. They really are a smashing pair of girls. They have been together since birth, so we would like to re-home them together but if we have to split then they must go out to other dogs, as they do look for each other.
Scooby – 18 month old male Saluki Cross
Scooby is a white 18 month old (approximately) dog and looks mainly Saluki. He’s a big lad but seems really lovely natured and just wants some affection. He walks really well on the lead. He’s getting on well with my 2 lurchers and hasn’t shown even a glimmer of aggression to our dogs or us. He’s just a big gentle giant and constantly comes over for cuddles and loves praise.

He seems to get stressed if left on his own so will probably need to either be around people a lot or have another dog for company. He has lived with Midget since she came along apparently and they clearly have a bond but he is quickly becoming good friends with our male Lurcher, Louis.
Taff – 2 year old male Lurcher
Taff is a Hancock Lurcher (Labrador cross), aged 2 years old. Taff loves to travel in the car, is good with children and other dogs – an all round smasher. Taff going to be put to sleep because he had a fit. We took him in and he is on epilepsy tablets that control his condition. He leads a normal life and gets on very well with dogs and people. He needs a family with someone around most of the time. We will cover the cost of his tablets for his new family. If you can offer this special boy a home get in touch.
Ellie – 4 year old female Lurcher
Ellie is about 4 years old and is a lovely rough coated lurcher. She is good with other dogs now she is living with 6 others in her foster home. Ellie travels well in the car and is good with children.
She is very affectionate and loves cuddles. Can you offer her a loving home and a nice cosy bed?

Bluebell is a beautiful blue (mostly) Greyhound who has just arrived into the rescue. She is aged approximately 2 years old. She is in a foster home with other dogs and still behaves like a pup. She loves everybody, children, people, dogs. She is a playful girl and does enjoy the company of other dogs and is small to medium sized for a Greyhound. Can you offer her a loving home??
Barclay – 7 year old male Greyhound cross Lurcher
Meet Barclay aka Goofy. Barclay was very thin and soaked to the skin when he was dumped outside Newby. He is the sweetest natured dog you could hope for. He is a Lurcher but mainly Greyhound and is about 7 years old. Although he is having a second puppy hood at the moment.
He is very cuddly and loves hugs (see above photo) and strokes. He is very responsive to people and will be easily trained. He is loves everyone and thing, but probably is not cat friendly as we think he has been worked. Please don’t let his colour or age put you off this boy he has the best temperament and will love your forever for just a cuddle.
