Patch – 2 year old male Greyhound

Patch is a 2 year old male Greyhound but is another greyhound who has had nothing back from the humans who reared and raced him. He was discarded by the racing industry and left to race on the unregulated and unregistered tracks in the North of England.

He came into us with injuries that had not been treated but after lots of TLC and vet care he is now fully recovered. Patch is a lovely dog – very friendly towards people. He is currently in a foster home in Canterbury so is housetrained, good in the car and walks well on a lead. Patch is not small dog or cat friendly but as he was a rubbish racer we think this is just due to lack of socialisation and not chase instinct.

Patch is a bit of a wuss really although he comes over as a confident dog. He could live either as an only dog or with other sighthounds, especially a nice female greyhound. Patch is a very easy dog to look after, he is not at all demanding and just wants to be safe, loved and have plenty of food – then he is a very happy boy.

Shadow – 4 year old male Greyhound

Shadow is a 4 year old male Greyhound and he is one of several dogs who have come from up north following their retirement from racing.

He is a friendly relaxed lad, with hidden depth, a gentle boy. He was born in Nov 06 – so despite his sweet greying muzzle he is only young. He is a quiet, reserved boy who will come out of his shell once he is settled in a new home. He is such a handsome boy with a beautiful face, that just asks you to love him and protect him. He is currently in a foster home where he has adapted to home life well. Shadow has been cat tested and showed no interest so with our guidance he could live with cats.

Brett – 5 year old male Lurcher

Brett is a 5 year old ex working Lurcher who really deserves a great retirement home. He has awful scars on his legs which remind us just how hard his life must have been. He is only a small dog, weighing around 23kg and is just a bundle of cuddles and kisses. He is ever so affectionate and great with people and other dogs. Brett travels really well in the car and is quite clever so should be easy to train. He is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.

Shadow – 3 year old male Greyhound

Shadow is a 3 year old Greyhound who is currently living in a foster home with children and other dogs. Shadow would make a great family pet as he is laid back but still fun and ever so affectionate. He only needs 2 x 30 minute walks a day to keep him happy. Shadow is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.

Sky – 5 year old male Greyhound

Sky is a beautiful 5 year old blue greyhound who has white snowflakes on his coat. He is currently living in a foster home with young children and small dogs and is great with all of them. He is seriously laid back and just wants an easy life. Sky is neutered, vaccinated and chipped.
