Lulu - 5 year old female Labrador
Lulu is a 5 year old female Labrador, unfortunately Lulu has been with us for a very long time and has spent the time in kennels. She will shortly be going into a foster home. Recently she was diagnosed with a slipping patella, the knee joint pops in and out.
This can causes her some discomfort in a slight limp but we have been informed by the vet that at the moment there is not a need for her to be operated on.
Currently she leads a normal life she is great with other dogs, she is strong on the lead but this is of course due to her limited excercise. She is good with children but unfortunately we are unaware what she is like with cats etc.

Hugo 11 month old black Labrador male. Hugo is a lovely pup, very bouncy and overweight. He comes from working lines, hence his hyper behaviour. He broke his leg just before Christmas and it is pinned in two places. He has recovered well and signed off by the vet. He has no limp and uses the leg normally. I have looked at it very carefully, and can see nothing untoward in his use of it.
I would anticipate it causing him no trouble, although obviously arthritis may be a problem in old age. He is exercised fully with their other dog. He will need ongoing training as the owners have really let this lapse. He is being rehomed as his owners had two 11 month old dogs in a small house and work a lot.
The dogs are competing for attention and ultimately top dog position as they mature. They have made the decision to rehome Hugo who is the more boisterous of the two.
The type of home we’re looking to place Hugo in is an active home due to his lineage. Observing him I could tell he is a very intelligent dog who likes to be on the go and occupied. He has not lived with children as the owners children are grown up.
He behaves well around children, although slightly wary of very small ones, purely as he has had no contact with them. He would suit a home where he is the only dog due to his leg but would be suitable for an older bitch who could tolerate his boisterous.

This is Honey, she is an 8 1/2 year old yellow Labrador female. She is good with other dogs and is great with children.
She does unfortunately have a problem with her eyesight. As her eyesight is cloudy she is unsure in the dark as she cannot recognise some things.
She is very good with other dogs, doesn’t pull on the lead. Very apprehensive of going for walks, but once carried/dragged out she trots along quite happily in bursts, but will sit down and refuse to move if she thinks she wants to go home! Not a lively lady.
She is now eating well, but is very unsure on laminate/tiled floors, her poor little body freezes and she will avoid them at all costs. Foster carer has put rugs down in her kitchen, so she can get some purchase with her paws. Apparently she is realy enjoying the love and affection she is getting, she lays her head on your lap and gazes up at you - what a sweetheart.
This lady just wants a quiet home, with tons of love, she’s not bothered about long walks - she will return this love ten fold. The type of home we are looking for will offer a very patient, loving home. NO small children who would run around and unsettle her, although she is great with them.
Ideally a couple who would devote their time to her, maybe another elderly steady dog who could show her how to enjoy life again.
