For further details regarding dogs available for adoption from Labrador Welfare please contact June Roberts by emailing labwelfare@tiscali.co.uk or telephoning 0114 266 1756. All Labrador Welfare’s dogs are all based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and Labrador Welfare have emphasized that re-homing is only possible in the North East, Yorkshire and northern parts of Lincs, Notts and Derbyshire [home visits are carried out by the rescue centre and understandably there is a limited area that can be covered]. Labrador Welfare rescue and re-home Labrador Retrievers who, through no fault of their own, need new homes. When a dog is handed over to us for adoption it is taken in to Boarding Kennels run by two of our Trustees. This is to make life easier for those handing dogs over to us, and also the potential adopters who can meet the dog chosen for them without any pressure. We are also able to assess the dogs whilst they are in kennels, thus helping us to match dogs with their new owners. We sometimes have a rapid change of dogs available for adoption so we would recommend that you review our own website http://www.labradorwelfare.org/ and then contact us to discuss any dogs in more detail.

9Aug2010 | Labrador Welfare | READ MOREDilly and Daffyd – 4 year old female and male Labradors
Dilly is a 4 years old, black, female Labrador. She has not been neutered. She is overweight due to a lack of exercise. Dilly is house and car trained but pulls on her lead and has generally had very little training so you would need to be prepared to work with her. She has lived with children and cats. She’s a friendly girl but rather bouncy with other dogs.
Dilly has always lived with her brother Daffyd so it would be fantastic if they could be rehomed together, though not essential.
Dilly
Daffyd is a 4 years old, black male Labrador, he has not been neutered. He is overweight due to a lack of exercise. Daffyd is house and car trained but pulls on his lead and has generally had very little training so you would need to be prepared to work with him. He has lived with children and cats. He’s a friendly lad but rather bouncy with other dogs.
Daffyd has always lived with his sister Dilly (Tag Number 351/10) so it would be fantastic if they could be rehomed together, though not essential. Daffyd does depend on Dilly for companionship so we would ideally be looking for a home with another dog if Daffyd could not be rehomed with Dilly.
