Doris – 16 week old female Mastiff Cross

Doris is a 16 week old female Mastiff cross breed pup, she is a lovely, friendly girl who loves to play with other dogs and is just a delight to have around. Doris is not house trained but she is now in a foster home where this is being worked on and going very well, she is quite good on the lead, loves her cuddles and is very good at doing the ‘sad’ face to get attention and treats.

Doris is a typical pup, full of fun, energy and mischief, she is currently happily living with two other dogs and a cat in her foster home, there are also chickens there but she doesn’t take any notice of then really. She is good in the car, happy to meet people, children and other dogs, she has been a very good girl when visiting the vets for her vaccinations and check up.

Despite being very large already Doris is still just a baby but she is going to be a very big girl when she is fully grown, her new family will need to be prepared to take on and continue her training and socialisation. Doris is now vaccinated and has been microchipped, she will need to be spayed when she is old enough and it will be a condition of her adoption that this be done and will form part of her adoption contract.

Georgie – 2 year old male Rotweiler

Georgie boy is a very handsome male Rottweiler of around 2 years old. He is not a very big boy, but he was under weight and had a nasty wound on the base of his tail when he came in but now that he has gained weight and healed nicely he is looking great, he is now full of fun and a bundle of energy. Georgie is a lovely affectionate boy, he adores cuddles and being with humans, he still needs training and anyone adopting him must be prepared to put in plenty of work with his training and he would greatly benefit from joining a training class to bring out this great boys full potential. He is wonderful in the home, he is better with female dogs than males and we would prefer a home that has had Rottweiler’s in the past as experience with the breed could bring out the best in him.

Georgie has a real playful side to him and he LOVES to play with water, he desperately wants to be loved and will do anything to get a fuss. He looks like he has a smile on his face all the time and has a very waggy tail, this boy is a smasher and will make some lucky family a great companion and playmate.

Georgie we will not be homed with children under 14 years of age and has not been cat tested, George has bee neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and is now ready to start his new life with a loving family of his own.

Bear – 3-4 year old male Bull Mastiff

Bear is a 3 to 4 year old Bullmastiff, he is a smashing boy that is very laid back and chilled. Bear is in a foster home and doing really well, he enjoys the company of other dogs and is currently looking after a pup in his foster home. Bear loves a fuss and a cuddle and will happily give lots of kisses, he is passionate about his food and will do just about anything if there is a treat on offer!

Bear cannot live with cats or other small furries and as we do not know if Bear has lived with children before we will only consider homes with children of 14 years old and over. He is quite well trained and knows all his basic commands, he enjoys his walks & play times as well as getting really comfy for one of his naps.

A few words from Bears foster carer:

What can I honestly say about Mr Cool?. . . . . Bear is a dream! He does have quite a high prey drive; he’ll chase chickens, rabbits etc but with humans he is A1. As a guard dog he makes a good noise if you are not there and someone knocks at the door, but he’s only interested in having some fuss from total strangers when they come into my home. He is unbelievably tolerant of my pup Charlie, easy to walk, a low energy respectful and loving dog who’s very, very easy to keep.

All in all Bear is a great dog and will make someone a wonderful companion, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and looking for his forever home.

Peep came in with her sister Bo and they were both spayed vaccinated and microchipped, Bo has now gone off to her new home, Peep is missing her sister and their games but she has adjusted well and gets along very well with the other dogs, she would benefit from another dog being in the home but this is not essential.

Peep is not very good with cats or other small furries, she thinks they are great fun to chase so we are looking for a home with no cats.

Peep has learned to walk reasonably well on a lead until she finds an interesting smell, so this will need more work in her new home. She can be a bit of an escape artist and will look for escape routs, so high secure fences will be a must in the garden. She came in with her name but did not seem to know or respond to it at first and although she does now it now she would really benefit from going to training classes to help with her recall.

She has shown no bad ways although she will require more socialisation with other dogs and she will need more training on the lead, she loves people and food, but she is not food aggressive.

This really is a stunning girl and her love of food should prove to be a great help with her training. When meeting new dogs she can be a bit full on, but again this is improving all the time.

Teddy – 3 year old male Bull Mastiff

Teddy is a male Bull Mastiff of around 3 years old, he is a very sweet boy and very handsome too, he is good on the lead, will sit, down and give paw, he has shown no bad ways with any other dogs and is very people friendly.

When he came into our rescue he had a broken tooth which had been left and had rotted, this must have caused him pain but he did not complain about it and it did not make him irritable, this tooth has now been removed.

Teddy is well behaved and very easy going, he loves attention and being made a fuss of, he adores men and will hunt them out in a crowd, he is also happy to be with women too. You must be prepared for great slobbery kisses from Teddy as he gives these with great relish at every and any opportunity! Teddy loves his food and treats so this would make extra training very easy. He is quite agile, but he is not a big Bullmastiff, this boy would be happy to go on long walks and would suit an outdoors type person, but he is also happy just to mooch about in the garden so he would really fit into most homes with ease.

Teddy is not the largest of Bullmastiffs more the size of a Labrador and is a complete cuddle monster, he has already been trained quite well and will not really need much more work other than on his recall and that will no doubt be fine once he has bonded with his new family.

Teddy has now been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and is now ready to find his forever home.

Teddy is such a good boy and will make a great addition to any family.

Kabana – 3-4 year old female Neapolitan Mastiff

Kabana… or “Bana” sometimes also affectionately known as “Banana” is a female Neapolitan Mastiff of nearly 4 years old. Bana loves belly scrubs, big open spaces, catching a few sunny rays, beaches, racing through the countryside, long naps, but food is the key to her heart. Bana is a loving and affectionate dog, she will role on to her back on command for a ‘belly’ scrub or nudge your hand until you cave in and scratch her head. She has a growing need to feel loved and hence her demands for affection are growing.

She is extremely obedient and well trained. She will walk to heel, sit, lie down, give paw, roll onto her back. She would pretty much do anything for treats, and is very smart. She is extremely intelligent and could probably learn any new trick or two. No problems travelling at all.

Bana was a bit wary of strangers when she first came in but as she has settled she has become more relaxed and is very happy to meet new people and to be made a fuss of, she is enjoying plenty of walks and is such a good girl for everyone that has taken her out, she is getting to know the other dogs and being very friendly.

Although Bana has not been with us for long she has made a big impression on everyone that has met her and we all adore her and queue up for Bana cuddles.

Kabana is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, she did have cherry eye but this has now been corrected by our vet and the wonderful Kabana is now looking for her new home where she can have the love and attention that she craves.

Brie is now in a foster home and doing really well, she likes other dogs and loves to play but she can be a little concerned about other dogs putting their paws on her back, this is no doubt due to her being tied and mated in the past, but as time has passed and she has had more and more interaction with other dogs and play she is learning to trust and to just have fun.

Brie travels well and is more than happy to jump in the car, she is clean in the house and very gentle.
