Ruby - female Bull Terrier cross Collie cross Greyhound
Ruby is a 3 year old Bull Terrier cross Collie cross Greyhound we think. She is a really lovely natured girl and whoever takes her on will be getting a real gem of a dog. She’s not very tall - around 24 ins, but is stockily built. She’s very gentle and has good manners - will sit on command etc.
She loves her cuddles and is good with other dogs. Probably NOT cat friendly though. Ruby will be spayed and vaccinated as soon as is possible.

Rosie is a 3 year old brindle Saluki cross female with feathering. She is very nervous and skittish of things she’s unsure of. She needs an experienced owner who will be able to deal with her anxiousness when out on walks. She’s also good with other dogs and people but not cat friendly. Rosie is fine with children and is house-trained and okay to be left for short periods.
Larry - 4 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Greyhound
Larry is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Greyhound male aged approximately 4 years old who has come to us via a dog warden, with a history of being a hard working dog, so I’d guess not cat friendly. He’s such a happy little soul, his tail’s always wagging. He is prematurely greying around his muzzle, the rest of his body shows how fit he is.
Larry has been vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered. He’s clean and quiet in his kennel , gets on well with other dogs but does pull on the lead, so I now walk him with a headcollar as he may only be little (about 22ins) but he’s really strong! He’s a really lovely little dog and would make a great family pet as he adores people and children. He deserves a loving home to retire to after his working days and to have a comfy sofa of his own.

Molly is a 4 year old white Greyhound female (Pedigree name ‘Bimbo’s Bandit’) who has never raced. She has come to us because their owner is no longer able to give her the attention she needs, she was devastated to give her up but realised it was best for them to find a new home.
She’s quite confident and outgoing, very friendly to people and other dogs but NOT cat friendly! She’s white with black patches and is very pretty. She’s also suffering with ‘Happy Tail’ at the moment.

Molly is a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old medium-sized Irish-bred black Greyhound female who has been raced (in Eire then on UK flapping tracks) and was retired due to a wrist strain. This injury will not be a problem in a pet home and she is fine now. She’s very affectionate and loves people and being around them, and doesn’t like being left alone so would be best in a home with canine company.
She has only been in a house for a few weeks so its all a bit new for her and she needs to learn a few house rules - she’s a keen counter surfer! Molly is not cat friendly. She is shy with new people but soon comes round, and seems like she’s suffered some rough handling as she’s wary of leads, sticks, narrow passageways and direct approaches. But with calm handling she soon settles down and relaxes.
A home with small or noisy kids would probably not be suitable for her, but older, sensible dog-savvy children might be okay.

Cas is a 10 year old smooth coated white and black Lurcher female who is around 26 inches tall, her owner says she is a Deerhound cross Collie cross Bull Terrier cross Greyhound. She who has come to Lurcher Link because her owner’s terminally ill and can no longer care for her.
She is clean and quiet in the house, gets on okay with most of the other dogs, walks well on the lead, loves kids, but is NOT cat friendly!

Stone is a Lurcher male aged approximately 6 years old. He’s about 25-26 inches tall and well built. He has been given to Lurcher Link by his owners as they have started a new business venture and are working about 10 hours a day. He was really unhappy about being left for so long and started chewing, howling and running off to find them.
He has a funny little Mohican ridge down his neck. He’s a lovely looking lad, but was very bewildered about leaving his owners. He needs a home where someone’s around most of the time. He’s good with other dogs, great with children and seems okay with the cats. Stone is fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered.

Janek is a young black and tan Saluki cross male aged between 12-18 months old. Janek has come to us via a dog warden in Cumbria, who took him to the vet to try and save his broken leg (sadly too old an injury and too far gone to do so) and once Janek had the leg removed, the dog warden fostered him at his own house until well enough to come to us.
As you can see from his photograph above, he is now missing a hind leg, but that’s certainly not slowing him down any - he’s been out running for 20 minutes a couple of times a day whilst he’s been in foster care. Janek is house-trained and good with other dogs and has been well behaved with the dog wardens kittens and chooks too. He can be a little nervy with strangers, but soon settles down once he realises they’re not going to hurt him. He loves being cuddled.
