Solo and Willow – 6 year old male and female Lurchers
Solo and Willow are two 6 year old sibling Lurchers who have come to us after a marriage break up. They have spent all their life together, so it’d be nice if we could rehome them together.
Solo is a big brindle chap, around 28 inches tall. Solo is obviously used to being The Man and does act in a rather macho fashion around other dogs till he gets to know them.
Willow is a very pretty red fawn girl. She’s quiet and laid back (compared with her brother anyway.) and is easy to walk.
These two never used to get walked (unless a family member went to visit, which was twice a year) so it’s all a new experience for them. They’ve been kept outside in an enclosure, so will need to learn about houses. They’re both clean and quiet in their kennel run though. Solo and Willow are not cat friendly and not suitable to live with young children. They have been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped.

Harley is a 10 month old male Lurcher. He has come from a pound so we have no background history of him. He knows some basics, will sit and give paw and takes food from your hand so gently. Harley is currently in a foster home, living with 3 other dogs whom he gets on brilliantly with. Harley is also good with children and possibly cat friendly too.
Lucky – 1 year old female Lurcher
Lucky is a 1 year old Lucher. She is very playful but can be too boisterous for very young children. She is neutered, vaccinated and chipped. Lucky needs an experienced owner to take her in hand and teach her some manners and to calm down a bit.
Holly – 1-2 year old female Lurcher
Holly is a 1-2 year old female Lurcher and is approximately 25-26 inches tall. She is one of two dogs arrive in our care from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals as a case of neglect – their owner did a moonlight flit and left all the animals behind. The dogs were lucky that they survived as the smaller animals weren’t so lucky. Holly is not cat friendly. She is vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped.
Hugo – 16 year old male Saluki Cross
Hugo is a 16 year old male Saluki cross who needs a comfy sofa for his twilight years. He was picked up as a stray but his owners have decided they can’t give him the attention he needs, so he’s been signed over to Lurcher Link.
Hugo doesn’t need much – a comfy bed, some love and care, regular meals, and a gentle stroll if the weather’s not too bad. Lurcher Link will undertake to pay his vet bills if he goes out as a foster dog, we just would like to see him settled somewhere.

Jefferson is a 1 year old male Lurcher. He is very friendly with everyone, good with other dogs, but not cat friendly. Jefferson is currently in foster with 2 other dogs and getting along brilliantly. He is a happy go lucky boy that likes to play and run. Jefferson is chipped, vaccinated and neutered.
George – 18 month old male Greyhound
George is an 18 month old male Greyhound. He is most probably an un-earmarked Greyhound but technically he comes under the realms of Lurcher. He’s black and white and approximately 26 inches.
He has just been neutered and had his first vaccination. He’s chipped and wormed too. He’s a very handsome young chap and gets on with the other dogs okay. He’s clean and quiet in his kennel and walks nicely on the lead. He travels well in the car too.

Meet the cute and adorable Whippet Cross puppies called Depp, Mr Cutie, Quince, Seymour who are boys and Sabba and Polo who are little girls.

They were born towards the end of July and the rescue are currently looking for homes for them when they are ready to leave their mum. Their mum is a beautiful blue and white Whippet but their dad is complete guess work.

As with all pups, these little ones shall need someone home most of the day, and will make wonderful additions to any home.
(Quince and Seymour)
As they are pups they can be intergrated with both dogs and cats. Pups will be vaccinated, chipped and up to date on worming before heading off to their new homes. They are currently in foster care in Wigan Lancashire.

Rudi – 3-4 year old male Lurcher
Rudi is a Lurcher boy aged approximately 3-4 years old who has obviously been a worker from his battle scars. He’s a quiet and well behaved chap, walks well on the lead and seems clean in his kennel. He needs a lot of love, care and building up. He’s neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. Rudi is currently in West Yorkshire.
Storm – 2 year old female Greyhound cross Whippet
Storm is a 2 year old dark brindle Greyhound cross Whippet and has been given to us by her owner. She’s very dainty and very pretty. She’s quite a lively little thing and is apparently very nervous of other dogs when she’s on the lead (non-Lurchers that is) she’s fine with other Sighthounds. So maybe she’s never really seen other types of dogs during her formative years.
She needs someone who can work with this issue and stop her lunging and barking at strange dogs, giving her the confidence she needs to ignore them. The LurcherLink trainer is available for help and back up for the right home. She is clean in the house and loves being around people – not too keen at being left for long periods of time and can become vocal. Storm is very slender and only about 24 inches tall. She’s vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and spayed and is currently in West Yorkshire.
