Hira – 18 month old female Greyhound

Meet Hira, Hira is a young Greyhound girl of about 18 months of age. She has been tattooed but the tattoos in both ears have been obliterated sadly so we cannot read them.

Hira has beautiful markings. Her brindle is a smokey grey colour. She stands 26 inches which is small for a greyhound bitch. Hira is clean in the house and quiet. She can be left for 4 hours at a time. She is gentle and affectionate. Hira is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated and wormed and ready for a home now.

Isla – 8 year old female Collie cross Lurcher

This beautiful girl is Isla and she is a 8 year old female Collie cross Lurcher,but as she was a stray, no one knows for sure. Isla was originally adopted from Battersea Dogs Home and has lived in a loving home environment for the last 5 years. Sadly her owner is suffering worsening health problems and can no longer keep Isla. Battersea Dogs Home has been consulted and have told Isla’s family they are happy for them to find Isla a suitable new home themselves.

Isla can still be nervous and distrustful of strangers, perhaps due to early mistreatment before her present owners adopted her. But when you get to know her and gain her trust, she will show herself to be a wonderfully loyal, affectionate and playful dog and all she would want in return is a tickle behind her ears or on her tummy and the chance to run freely in fields or woods – where she basically exercises herself. She has excellent recall. We also feel she would really benefit from being with another dog as she is very fond of canine company and loves to run with other Lurchers.

Isla is clean in the house, and can be left for 4/5 hours. She will sit next to the owners’ cat on the sofa, so she could be homed with a cat.

Although fine with her present owners’ grandchildren, due to her slightly nervous temperament, we feel Isla should not be homed with children under 16. Isla lives in London at present but she would be happiest in a country home.
