Alfred – 10 year old male Labrador Cross
Hello there, my name is Alfred, but you can call be Alfie for short. I am an old boy who needs a lovely retirement home so I can curl up by the fire. That’s where I should be. I don’t like it here, I used to have a home. I was found as a stray and nobody came to collect me. Everyone here says I would make someone a lovely pet and would suit any family really or an older person, I don’t mind at all. I would probably be better with older kids as I am getting a bit old now to play all the time with tiddlers, but I do like to play and walk. Let me curl up by the fire this Christmas with you and I will be your faithful friend forever.
Jenny – 5 year old female German Shepherd cross Collie
I am Jenny, nice to meet you. I am looking for a new home, and I am really not doing very good in the kennels. I am a lovely natured girl who has been fostered with great reports. I am house trained and I love to be fussed over. My favourite thing in the whole wide world is squeaky toys – they are the best. I will do anything for my toys. I really really enjoy a good game of fetch and I bet you anything I could fetch it just as many times as you could throw it. I need lots of excercise and stimulation but am so well behaved that you can take my toys and food away no problem at all – I know you are the boss!
Sam – 6 year old male Cross-Breed
Hello, my name is Sam, but at the moment I am sad Sam. I am quite a nervous boy but am great once you get to know me. I make the kennel staff laugh because I have learned to open the shutter on my kennel myself. I love to walk and play and my dream is for someone lovely to come and rescue me from here and take me on lovely country walks. That would be just smashing. I would suit a quieter family I think, or maybe older people. Then I will be happy Sam instead.

My names is Skittles and I will really bowl you over – if only you give me a chance. I am good fun and I love to play. I love company, I don’t like being left for long periods because I get lonely and bored. Just like I am in the dogs home! I am great with kids, I used to live with toddlers and even though I was nervous when I first came in here I have chilled out a bit, but I don’t like it. I want to come and live with you – and I would suit anyone really who can give me the exercise and attention that I need.

Well hello there. I am a big friendly guy who thinks that Bear is a dumb name, so am looking for somebody to come and call me something a little better (just because i look a bit like a bear) I am sure you can see from my pictures I am extremely handsome and kinda on the large side.

Velcro – 6 year old male Jack Russell Terrier Cross
Hi I am Velcro. The nice guys here at the dogs home gave me that name because when I give you hugs it’s like I am stuck to you.
Look at my pictures – you can see just how good my hugs are! I am a quiet little chap and could do with somewhere nice and calm to call my own. I am very good natured and have lots of love to give you if you give me a chance.
