Tigger – 7 year old male Cross-Breed

Hello everyone, my name is Tigger and I the most pleasant dog you could hope to meet. I am active and lively for my age, they say I am 7 but I am so fit and healthy I say I’m really only 3! My temperament and personality match that of a saint!  I am so enjoyable to be around and one of the most docile canines on the planet. I am always on my best behaviour and really do wear my heart on my sleeve. I am extremely obedient and loyal and never want to leave your side.

mdh_tigger.JPG

I am amazing with other dogs and am already well trained. I know lots of commands such as “sit” and “lie down” and take treats ever so gently from your hand. I may seem a big dog but I am more cuddly and softer than a teddy bear. Every night when I go to sleep at the back of my kennel, I pray for a new mummy and daddy. I just want to love and be loved, it’s in my nature.

Anyone who decides to adopt me will not be disappointed, I will make the perfect addition to any household and will bring so much love and life to it.  Please give me a chance, I wont let you down.  All my love and kisses, Tigger x

Bracka – 6 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Hello everyone, my name is Bracka (Hebrew for blessing) and I’m a gorgeous 6 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. My tag number here is 7 but I have not had much luck in my short life. I was born with a bone deficiency in my legs and which has made them slightly bent, and although they don’t cause me any trouble I can be a bit wobbly sometimes. It’s really upsetting me being here, as I see all the other dogs going out and being adopted whilst everyone seems to walk past me.

mdh_bracka.JPG

I play very nicely with some of the dogs here at the Home. Despite all have been through, I am extremely happy and friendly and will always greet you with a warm smile and a waggy tail. I LOVE cuddles and will happily try and sit on your knee to make the most of them. I detest being in this kennel and get more depressed each day I am in here. I long to be with a family who will love me and treasure me forever.

I love small comforts in life, mostly couches, the sofa, the settee, cushions and especially the back seat of a car! They make me feel extra cosy and support my legs properly. If you have room in your house and heart for a big Staffordshire Bull Terrier and have a vacant couch in your sitting room, please consider giving me your blessing and take me home with you today. All my love and sloppy kisses, Bracka x

Jacob

Hello everyone, my name is Jacob and I am 4 year old Rottweiler Cross and if you are looking for a lovable, obedient dog that you can have lots of fun with, look no further! I am already splendidly trained and know a huge number of commands including, “down” and “stay”. I love practicing all my tricks and would love to do them all day long with you, and maybe you could even teach me some new ones.

mdh_jacob.JPG

I love having a job to do, which is normally carrying my toy around with me and making sure I give you lots of love and kisses. I am super friendly and will happily sit by your side all day long. I am not coping very well in my kennel and am getting very frustrated, so much so that I have begun pacing backwards and forwards and around in circles in my kennel.

The reason is I’m so bored as no one is coming to play with me or letting me give them loves. As soon as I step foot outside me kennel I immediately spring back to life. All I need is someone to give me a chance, I’ll prove to you just how truly amazing I am. Ask to see me! All my love and licks, Jacob x

Taylor – 1 year old male Cross-Breed

Hello everyone, my name is Taylor and I am such a sweetheart. As you can tell I have not had a very easy start to life. I am a 1 year old medium sized cross-breed male and was born with a slight deformity which left my front paw turned outwards. It is not too noticeable and I do make up for it with my model like good looks. As the saying goes, it is what’s on the inside that counts and my insides are all made out of all things sweet and cotton candy!

mdh_taylor.JPG

I am such a good boy with an exceptionally charming personality and I never let my deformity get me down. My only worry in life is that no one will want to pick me at the Home due to the way my little leg looks and this does make me very upset. I get scared that I will be the only dog left at the Dogs’ Home and no mummy or daddy to love me. This breaks my heart as I have so much love to offer and companionship is right at the top of my priority list.

I dream of the day someone realises what a special boy I am and say those three words every dog longs to hear… “I love you!” Could you be the one to make my dream come true? I am ready and waiting if you are. I just want to love you back. All my love and sloppy Licks, Taylor x

Bryn – 4 year old Boxer Cross

Hello everyone, my name is Bryn, I am a 4 year old Boxer cross and I am a gorgeous little boy. I will do any thing to please you and I can even do some tricks. I have just passed my Bronze Good Citizens Award as I am so well behaved. My previous owners never gave me much attention or love so I became very good at jumping the fence, looking for somebody to love me.

mdh_bryn.JPG

I am sure if the right family came along and showed me lots of love I will stop doing my Houdini routine! I am extremely good with children and I think you will all agree I am one handsome brute! I would benefit from lots of exercise as I have lots of energy and I love to play games.

I am so well behaved and all the staff at the Home have fallen in love with me. I am already house-trained and I am very intelligent so we can have lots of fun together learning new tricks. I am okay with other dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the house as I really need a bit of a fuss made of me; I haven’t really had a brilliant start to life. However, I have very high hopes about my future. All my love and kisses, Bryn.

Howard – 7 year old male Cross-Breed

Hi, I’m Howard, I’m a 7 year old male medium sized-cross breed. I know that I jump about a lot in my kennel but that’s because I’m so pleased to see you…every time I see people walk past my kennel I’m leaping about barking ‘PICK ME, PICK ME’…but no-one has as yet.

mdh_howard.JPG

If you’d just meet me outside then you’d see that I’m not always so giddy. Actually I’m quite the gent. I will sit for a tasty treat and I like to play with other dogs. Because I’ve been in the Dogs’ Home for such a long time (since July) I might need a bit of training and TLC to get me used to living in a house again. But once I’m settled in, I’m sure I’ll be the perfect pet because I’ll be so grateful to you. Please give me a chance.

Lots of Woof, Howard!

Seth – 7-10 year old male Cross-Breed

Hi, I’m Seth. I’m a lovely well mannered medium sized older cross-breed. I walk very nicely on a lead and I will sit and shake hands with you in exchange for a tasty treat. As you can see I might be a have the odd streak of silver through by fur but I’m still a handsome boy that has the “puppy dog eyes” technique down to a fine art!

mdh_seth.JPG

I like being around other dogs, all I need is a nice comfy warm place to lay my head, lots of love and a few decent meals inside me and I’ll be your very own faithful friend. Plus, because of my impeccable manners I shouldn’t cause the trouble that you’d get with a naughty little puppy! Please give me a chance to show you what a good boy I am.

Lots of woof, Seth.

Conan – 12-16 month old male Terrier Cross

Hi, I’m Conan. I’m a 12-16 month old Terrier cross male. I’m a cheeky little chap that needs a little work with regards to training. But with a bit of help I’ll be a lovely little dog. I’m quite affectionate and love my fusses.

mdh_conan.JPG

Whilst I’ve been in the dogs’ home I’ve made really good friends with Barbara my kennel mate, so the staff here think that I might get on better with girl dogs than boy dogs. I think I just need some decent training for a young dog, such as walking nicely on the lead and getting to meet other dogs away from the stressful environment of the kennels.

With a bit of hard work at first and lots of TLC I think I’ll make a wonderful, faithful pet for life. Please give me a try. Lots of Woof, Conan!

Barbara – 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Hi, I’m Barbara. I’m a 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. I get very excited in my kennel when I see people walking past my kennel, but if you ask a member of staff to get me out you’ll see that I’m not always like that. Don’t get me wrong I am quite an excitable dog that LOVES running around and playing.

mdh_barbara.JPG

In the dogs home I haven’t got on very well with some of the dogs so I might be best being the only dog. Although me and Conan get on great! I have been adopted from the home already but my ‘parents’ through I was a bit lively to be around their very young children. But they did say that I’m generally a lovely dog, I know sit, down and come and I’m house-trained.

With the right owners I’ll be a brilliant dog! I just need to get away from the stress and noise of the kennels and have a decent routine in a loving home. Please give me a chance. Lots of Woof, Barbara

Betty – 10 month old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross

Hi, I’m Betty a 10 months old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross female. I’m quite a giddy girl in my kennel that’s just me trying to get your attention! I do need a bit of training to get me to walk on the lead a little better than I do at the moment. But I do know other commands already such as sit and paw.

mdh_betty.JPG

I’m also house trained already, the nice people that took me for a holiday at Christmas time said that I’m okay to be left on my own for about four hours during the day. I get on well with other dogs and I like to run and play, but I also like to be fussed and groomed.

I think I’m best suited to someone is happy to put that initial effort into training me, so that I learn not to be quite so giddy now, while I’m young. Please give me a try. Lots of Woof, Betty
