Rafter - 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Rafter a 2 year old male cross-breed. He has been at Many Tears a long time waiting for a home. He is fine with female dogs but does not like other males.

He needs an experience dog owner who is willing to work with him. He loves people although can be a bit over enthusiastic when he first meets you! This is because he absolutely hates life in the kennels and when you enter he is just desperate for you to take him out. He really needs to find his forever home.

Steel

Steel is a 4 month Weimaraner puppy who loves people. He currently shares his foster home with other pups and is a great dog to know. He was not sold as has an unusual gait and so he has been given to us to rehome, he possibly has a deformed front leg.

The vet has x-rayed him and it maybe a conjenital problem. There is a chance he may have a shortened life, but with love and care he may live a normal length life and enjoy every minute of it.

Steel is very quiet and cute and really enjoying cuddles. He will require good training and plenty of exercise when older. However, if you think this is the right breed for you, please read up about them.

Spruce

Spruce needs your help, he is 2 1/2 year old Greyhound cross and needs a new forever home. He is a lovely dog but would be best as an only dog. He is good with cats and older kids (10 + years).

Spruce was rehomed some weeks ago but is back with us and looking for a forever home. We first saw him curled in a basket, given up on life. He had been at the same pound for over 7 weeks in hope someone or a rescue would get him, but no on did.

We took him on and he was ignored here too, until that fantastic day when a family fell in love. He has got on famously as an only dog with 2 cats and a number of children, but sadly when the 2 year old grandchild visited he was ill at ease. He has been brought back to us, even though he is a wonderful dog as the grandchild will be visiting often. We need to home him with older children, and he is happiest as an only dog, or living with cats. He is a very relaxed loving boy, so this is terribly sad.

Frosty and Fennella

Frosty & Fennella are chocolate Labrador sisters who are looking for a new and very active home together. Fennella is more serious and much quieter than Frosty but like her sister, she is VERY friendly, sweet and playful. Frosty joins in retrieving constantly - Fennella just loves racing round.

Both girls (Fennella pictured left - Frosty pictured right) have got very much fitter and stronger. They are a little too thin at the moment as they are constantly on the go and they are rarely still all day. However, they are brilliant all night and, once home and they have been fed each night, sleep very quietly all night.

There has been no chewing or being naughty. Both girls love travelling in the van and Land Rover. Both adore being outdoors and they need LOTS of exercise and things going on all day. They are excellent with children, horses and, in fact, everything! They are currently being fostered in Somerset.

Dylan

Dylan is aged around 1 year old, he is a medium sized cross-breed, possibly Jack Russell cross, perfect for midi-agillity as he will take direction. He is very active, so needs an active home. He prefers girl dogs, but is not aggressive… probably just a flirt :)

He has learnt to interact with humans, even love some! He has learnt to play, jump and sort of retrieve and still no one wants him. It’s been a tough life, that although is now better at Many Tears it seems to have come to a stand still. He will make a great friend if you love walks and enjoy having a good looking, clever little fellow around!

He says, my name is Dylan, I’ve been here quite a while, and no one is interested in me at all! I do prefer girl dogs to some boys but I don’t pick fights. I’m a young bundle of fun.. always busy and always looking to play. Could I be your perfect companion?

A good, calm other dog would be ideal for her too. This dog is a pretty, healthy dog - but has been very badly scarred by her past life. To help Christine, she has received regularly healing, flower remedies, etc. She wears her crystals with pride.
Christine has had a hard first few years in life and is now looking for her forever caring home.

Frisky

Meet Frisky, a gorgeous tri-colour 1 year old Border Collie with loads of love to give and a huge desire to learn and to please. He was rehomed, but due to one of the kids being allergic to his him Frisky was returned.

He is a very intelligent boy, who loves to learn, is good in cars, good with kids (can be a bit boisterous for toddlers and a perfect dog for an active possibly agillity home. Frisky loves walks, trips (however short) in the car and is learning all the basic commands at the moment. He is good with other dogs and can be left for short periods, once settled.

Cabbage

Cabbage is a Border Collie around a year old. He was found as a throw out on the Brecon Beacons and spent 9 days at the hunt kennels which is also the pound. He has been with us a while and only now wag a little. Not an ounce of aggression, instead total fear of man’s actions. He is more than likely a failed sheepdog.

Some of the farmers can be hard on the dogs that won’t work, He is truly special and shares a kennel so will get on with other dogs. He would be perfect for a home that is probably more adult, he needs lots of love and his foster carer says “Cabbage is an amazing dog, he is still terrified of life, yet once he trust somebody, he doesn’t forget! Cabbage has done a lot in his three weeks, he has attended two agility shows, agility training four times a week (watching) which he LOVES! He has also been to the town, lots of new experiences. I am VERY attached to Cabbage, but due to having 6 of my own dogs, can not keep him.”

Crackers

Crackers is about 1 years old Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is not dog agressive, but can be a bit possesive over toys when other dogs are around so he may be best as an only dog. He needs a good jogging or play partner, but also someone who is able to do some basic training and give him some direction.

He needs some basic training and can be quite head strong, so needs experienced doggie owners and direction with his behavior. He is very intelligent, great to be around, once he knows who is boss and a great partner for an energetic older children family home.
