To adopt a dog from Many Tears Animal Rescue you will be home checked, you and all members of your family and any dogs who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog. Hickey
Hickey is a Border Collie, aged about 10 months, she had been left to roam the Breckon Beacons with her other 4 Collie friends/brothers/sisters. She came to us a scared, hurt girl and is starting to become a loving, sweet girl with love.
She is fostered with a 5 year old so is fine with kids (needs careful introduction as with all new people to dogs), she is very clever and is a perfect family pet. Being fostered in Leamington Spa.
From the foster family, “This is the first thing my 5 year old said this morning: “Hebe’s changed”. When we used to go up to her, she walked away. Now she’s snugly and she licks us!” We turned to look at her - and there she was, pulling Posy the yellow terrier across the room in her soft bed! After only a week, Hebe (aka Hickey) is transformed.”

Georgie (in pyjamas pictured below) is a 2 year old Greyhound girl who’s racing career ended when she broke her leg, this has now been fixed. Georgie is fine outside the home but is easily spooked in confined spaces and is looking for a quiet home. She is good with other dogs and is currently living with a foster home while waiting for her new home.
Casey
Casey is a 6 year old, sad, gentle, thrown away dog. She is a Whippet cross (maybe Dobermann). She is very loving, very sensitive, very confused why her family decided to throw her away with no care or thought.
They had a baby and she was an inconvenience. She is nervous of other dogs and would need an experienced owner to bring her out of herself. Casey really is a lovely dog who is a pleasure to be with!

Myia is a Japanese Akita aged approximately 3 years old, she is a little aloof till she knows you, but not aggressive. In her last home she was house-trained and she has kept that up in her long stay here too. She has a good sense of humour, is gentle and loving, she just loves her walks and in between is quiet and no bother.
Myia is a clean dog, she knows basic commands and walks well on the lead. She loves attention and treats. She would be good with a male dog of her own size, dependent on their reaction when meeting. She would need a doggie knowledgable owner to work with her.
Once Myia knows you she will love you and will give you a kiss and want to be with you. All you need to do to meet this special girl is to come along and meet her, take her for a walk, give her a treat (she likes everything!). Myia has an ache in that big heart, she is longing for some one apart from us here to love and give her that forever home. I hope and pray the day will come, please please don’t pass her by!

This Dobermann’s name is “Wah Ying Hung” or Hero - this is a Chinese Comic Book Character Name. Hero is a 6 year old dog who has been rescued following his loving owner being deported. He is a special boy, who hates being in kennels and desperately wants a warm forever home of his own.
He is a very special boy and would make his new forever human a great companion and friend. He did not respond to his posh Chinese name, but recalls to Hero, so we are calling him this at the rescue.
Hero has been house-trained, he needs to be an only dog with no cats within an all adult household, as he has not been around children before. He Will take time to trust a new human, but when he does he will be totally yours.

Valentine is a really sweet Labrador cross Collie. She lived at a farm, but when the farmer moved (with her and her mum) Valentine felt she ought to go back to the old farm on a daily basis. She was then given to us to home. She is a smashing dog and will make a wonderful pet.
Suzie
Suzie is a 3 year old Terrier cross. She is good with cats, kids and dogs. Sadly due to a marriage break up she has lost her home. She is the size of a Collie.
Skipper
Skipper is a 3 year old mild mannered ex-racing Greyhound. He’s not injured, just not fast enough. Skipper is clean in the house and good on and off lead. He’s affectionate but not boisterous and good with other dogs. Perfect in fact…unless you’re a cat!
Ben
Ben is a 5 month old Terrier cross. His mum is in hospital and dad cannot cope. He is a gentle pup who will need a stable, loving home willing to train him.
Fudge
Fudge is a very affectionate 4 year old Collie bitch. Her owner has lost her home so she came to us. She is a beautiful dog who would love to have loads of attention and be cuddled all day long, she is used to the company of another dog.
