No appointment is neccessary for these times but there will be a waiting period, particularly on Tuesdays and Fridays when we tend to have more visitors.
Poppet - 8 month old female Chihuahua cross Miniature Pinscher
Poppet is an 8 month old female Chihuahua cross Miniature Pinscher. We found this beautiful little girl roaming the streets on her own. She is a real lady and loves showing off her gorgeous coat on nice walks. She has a gorgeous face and huge pointy ears. She could easily adapt to any household as she loves children, other dogs and even confident cats. She has an excellent temperament and would benefit from from having training classes so that she could reveal her inner-diva!
Molly - 10 month old female Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Cross
Molly is a 10 month old female Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier cross who was brought to us because her owner was too ill to look after her. She is a bubbly and friendly little girl who is very popular here at the centre. She could easily live with another dog and may take well to cats, we are just assessing this at the moment.
She loves being fussed by adults and children, although she is a little scared of younger kids. She loves walking in the fresh air and would love training classes to meet other dogs and learn new tricks.

Tom is a 4 year old Collie cross Spaniel. He has a gorgeous coat that you could cuddle all day long. He is very affectionate and would happily live with dogs and children. He is house-trained and loves walking in the fresh air. He needs a few hours exercise per day and would love to visit some training classes to learn new tricks. Dilly - 2 year old female Shih Tzu cross Schnauzer
Little Dilly is a beautiful 2 year old female Shih Tzu and Schnauzer cross. She has a lovely black and white coat. She’s a little star here at the centre and is very popular. Sadly she was no longer wanted by her owners and is now looking for a brand new family to care for her. She is very friendly and could snuggle all day long.
She is great in the company of other dogs, who she could play with. She is wary of cats and younger children. She would make a great addition to the family and a friend for life. Please get in contact to give this girl a home.

Lucy is a 3 year old female Border Collie who’s owners no longer wanted her and brought her here to the centre. She is as good as gold and very friendly. She loves playing with other dogs and loves going on nice long walks. She needs regular exercise and would like an owner who has had dogs before.
She loves attention and having nice pamper time, just look how beautiful her coat is. She could easily live in a household with other dogs but may be wary of cats. She would have no problem living with children and could play all day long. She is very clever and knows quite a few tricks, she may even benefit from training classes so she could learn new ones.

Little Charlie is an 11 month old male Dachshund cross Cocker Spaniel who was brought to us because sadly his owner passed away. He is a charming, handsome little chap who loves being fussed. He is very playful and loves walkies. He is very popular with us at the centre and has us laughing all the time. He has a curious and friendly nature and loves exploring new places.
He is great with both cats and dogs and would be willing to share his home with both. Because of his friendly nature he would play with children of all ages, all day long. Please get in contact to give this gorgeous boy a wonderful home and the start in life he deserves.

Hello my name is Louise, I’m an 11 week old, female Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I came to The Mayhew with my other siblings because my owner was unable to look after us. I am a typical lively and playful puppy who needs a lot of attention. I’m very affectionate, craving company and I’m also very inquisitive and into everything.
My new guardians will need to be at home for most of the day and will make sure I gets two thirty-minute off-lead gentle socialisation walks per day while young, building up to one to two hours once fully grown. My new guardians will haved owned dogs before and will be knowledgeable about my breed. They will have a lot of spare time on their hands and will take me to training classes to help me with my naughty-puppy ways. I am good with other dogs and would happily live with one.
Any children in my new home will need to be at least six years and upwards. My new guardians will be taking on a fifteen year commitment, which must not be taken lightly. Hope to see you soon, Louise x

Hello, my name is Starsky, I’m a 1 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who came to The Mayhew as a stray. I’m a very friendly, playful and affectionate boy who adores people and craves attention. I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy meeting up and playing with dogs in the park.
I would happily live with children and I would easily suit a first time owner who is willing to attend training classes with me and has researched my breed. I will need at least one hour of off-lead exercise every day. It’s not known how long I can be left alone for, so ideally would like to find a home where I won’t be left alone for long periods. My new guardians will be taking on a fourteen year commitment which must not be taken lightly. Hope to see you soon, Starsky x

She is house-trained and can be left on her own for up to 4 hours. She would be suitable for first time owners and would need a minium of 1 hour off lead exercise daily.
Ice - 2 year old male Siberian Husky
Ice is a 2 year old male Siberian Husky who is looking for a new home after his owners had a baby. He would be suitable to live with other dogs and children of all ages, but would prefer to live in a cat-free environment. He is house-trained and can be left alone in the home for up to 2 hours.
He is looking for a new home where his owners will continue his training by taking him to training classes and who have owned dogs before and researched the breed. He will need a minimum of 1-2 hours exercise off lead daily.
