Holly – 2 year old female Cross-Breed

Homing Requirements: Holly needs a sensitive and caring family who can continue to support her emergence! Secure garden and exit management. Dog company is everything to Holly, she must live with at least one other dog. Holly can get scared of children so needs controlled exposure especially out in public. Holly is used to living with cats.

Her Story: Holly was taken from a deprived existence. Holly was fostered with other dogs and cats, then homed for nearly a year mixing freely with dogs inside and outside the house and attending weekly term time training. She lives successfully with 2 cats but took time to settle. Had a recent incident getting into neighbours garden with another dog and family feel they can not trust her. She is spayed, vax’d and chipped.

Advert: Holly had an impoverished background and although she is an accomplished dog proved with other dogs and cats, she can lack confidence with strangers or excited children. Holly needs at least one other dog’s company, adores their company, is playful and respectful. Holly is loving, relaxed within her home setting and can be left within her pack. Still in own home in Bordon, Hants.

Holly is a 2 year old pale fawn crossbreed with a dark muzzle. Holly is a joy, so gentle and an appreciative girl who is loving and tender within her family. Holly would love an inclusive family home to satisfy her adoring nature. Fudge – 2 year old male Labrador Cross

Homing requirements: Fudge needs a family who can engender confidence in him and offer him time and stability for the rest of his life. He needs a secure garden and an active lifestyle.

His Story: Fudge was homed as a puppy; 2 years on and his owners felt he was too bouncy for their 1 year old grandchild. Fudge was saved from going into an Irish pound by him coming over to us. He is neutered, vax’d and chipped and currently in boarding kennels near Gatwick.

Advert: Fudge is a sensitive dog who is great fun to be with. He is wary initially of other dogs and new people, just a little shy. He is nervous in the kennel environment and so needs to be in a home with comforts again. Note he has always had access to soft furnishings. He has good recall, walks well on the lead and loves travelling in the car.

Fudge is a chocolate brown Labrador cross. He is slight in frame, sensitive and sincere. He is used to being part of a family with regular walks, toys and fun. Sadly grandchildren took preference over his security, but we’re assuring him his next home will be all about him!

Milo and Sky – 7 year old male English Bull Cross and 10 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Homing Requirements: Sky and Milo’s new owners need to offer stability and enjoy their gifts. Sky is nervy and shies away from busy activity, children and needs to be settled to walk outside. Have lived with cats and hamsters.

Their Story: Milo joined Sky and they have always lived in harmony for 6 years. Their owner lost her accommodation and they were kept by a friend waiting for a kennel space with us. Now in boarding kennels. Both neutered and vax’d.

Advert: Sky and Milo are an easy couple who are great friends and deserve to stay together. Both are easy dogs, with good training, habits and cope with being left, enjoy visitors and have also lived with other animals, always in a flat. Sky was off lead but is now nervous in her old age, but she meets people and dogs very well. Milo has become the confident dog but still refers constantly to Sky. Wonderful pair who will bring such companionship.

Milo is 7 years old and his partner Sky is 10. They are a harmonious & dedicated pair who have been well socialised and were an integral part of their family, sleeping on their owner’s bed and much loved. Having lost their home they so need stability.

Kirby – 2 year old male Fell Terrier

Homing requirements: Kirby needs responsible owners who will have his safety and welfare ever in their minds. A terrier proof garden and exit management. Kirby could live with dog savvy children and perhaps another dog.

His Story: Kirby was found stray, entire and in good condition. He was not claimed. Kirby will be neutered early April and commence vaccination.

Advert: Kirby is the premium Red Fell! He is inquisitive and a ‘fidget’ in the car, well why wouldn’t he be busy! He hasn’t got an edge to him and is easily handled, fussed and is very squeezable. Kirby loves dogs and is also respectful on meeting. Kirby could live with older children providing they were careful not to leave doors or gates open ’cause he would disappear’.

Kirby has that ‘to die for’ coarse coconut wire coat and is a ‘text book’ Fell terrier. Kirby is such a nice chap about 2 years old, hard to gauge as he is young, not puppyish and in his own skin. He maybe too much for a non terrier person but considered the real McCoy and well mannered by the terrier enthusiast!

Please visit Kirby’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra88546.php#88546 to find out if he is still available and for fuller details.

Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a ‘forever’ home is found.

Raffa – 2 year old male Jack Russell Terrier

Homing Requirements: Raffa would best suit a dog experienced home with a love of terriers to reassure him so that he settles and develops through into full maturity. Raffa could live with another dog. Raffa would prefer not to live with young children in a home with not too many stairs/steps with his longer back.

His Story: Raffa came into Rescue as a 6 month pup for not managing to cope with 5 and 6 year old live-in children. Raffa has spent 4 months in kennels already waiting for opportunity to knock. He lived with a 3 year old Labrador. Raffa is neutered, chipped and fully vax’d. Raffa has just had a hernia repair to good effect. Currently in kennels in Farnham, Surrey.

Advert: Raffa was a Jack pup living with very young children and a 3 year old Labrador. The family found his energy too intense. He needed to learn through direction. Raffa is a whole lot older now but still needs to catch up. He meets dogs well and was an off lead dog. Raffa needs exposure to life as he is wary of things he should be chilled with by now. He knows basic commands but needs further training/ socialisation to gain confidence. Raffa has done so well but losing his home definitely was a shock. Raffa travels well in the car.

Raffa is a puppy dog white and tan Jack Russell with a slightly longer body but ‘very Jack’. He is intelligent and agile. Raffa needs” Activity and Task”. Older dog savvy children would be fine providing Raffa isn’t given mixed messages. He is needy and thrives on loving kindness and mutual affection exchange. Kind management in guiding him through into successful encounters and adulthood.

Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and also available for foster until a ‘forever’ home is found.

Toddy – 2-3 year old male Collie

Homing requirements: Toddy needs a stable family around him who will offer him patience and training with a regime to engage his intelligence and capitalise on his well meaning nature.

His Story: Toddy was Rescued from an Irish pound and kindly neutered and transported to England for us to find him a suitable home. He is in the process of vaccination and has been wormed but still needs to be built up as he is underweight and his fur lacks lustre. He is in boarding kennels but needs some home comforts.

Advert: Toddy is a special dog who is interested in life and especially his ‘people’. He arrived into a pound in a fairly poor state but his wonderful demeanour drew the attention of the staff to go all out to help him. He is a celebrity in our rescue as we have only just begun to help Irish Collies after many years break. He mixes well with other dogs and is receptive to human love and ready to be indulged.

Toddy is about 2-3 years old, a taller Irish Collie who will have a luscious coat once he receives the loving care of a family and continued adequate good food. People that come forwards for Toddy must explore what they have to offer Toddy as a Collie. He needs an inclusive lifestyle. He has a keen and inquisitive interest in life, ready to pursue with his heart and mind. He needs loving kindness and patience to allow him to settle into a new lifestyle.

Please visit Toddy’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra87588.php#87588 to find out if he is still available and for fuller details.

Tipsy – 8 year old male Collie cross Terrier

Homing Requirements: Tipsy needs a home with at least one other dog. She has successfully lived with cats. She needs to slowly drop more weight, adopting an active routine.

Video: Tipsy – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7LJQbPd1CQ

Her Story: Tipsy was seen wandering for several days before anyone thought to see if she was stray. Full of fleas, sore ears and very overweight. She did her time at the pound. When she was given a Put To Sleep date, her finder approached us to ask if we would take and came back to foster her in with another dog. She was homed as an only dog with a cat and accepted another bitch dog. Her owner feels she loves everyone but her and wants Tipsy to be happier. She is fostering Tipsy until she is rehomed.

Advert: Tipsy is a pretty small Collie cross. She mixes well with children, dogs and cats. She is ‘shy’ and gently forms her bonds but is happier to sit in her bed or watch out the window. She potters around the garden and trots along on her walks off lead but you need to keep an eye on her in case she wanders off. She would love the company of another dog, enjoys her food and bones. She travels well in the car and can be left without event so would suit part-time worker.

Video: Tipsy Love – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EyVbM3PdO4

Tipsy is around 8 years old. She is overweight but much better than when first found stray over a year ago, having lost 6 kilos. She is fully vax’d, wormed etc. Delightful Tipsy who easily plays a background role but has affection in her own way especially during activities … she loves to offer her belly for rubs. Sweetheart!

Archie – 7 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Homing Requirements: Archie needs a stable loving family who can cherish his Staffie gifts. Archie could live with older children but is really looking for a quiet family life. Delights in sleeping in the bedroom and would love to be on the sofa when allowed.

His Story: Archie was living with a family with teenagers. No one was really putting time into Archie and he was passed on to a concerned friend who lived in a bedsit, with children 7-9 visiting weekends which was congested. Archie is neutered, vax’d and fostered in SW London.

Advert: Archie has the most wonderful vibe. He is 6-7 years old & has lived with a family with teenage children. Archie delights in company, prefers a quieter life, pottering around a garden and pleasant walks. Archie was off lead and meets dogs well. Archie is proven with dog savvy older children.

Archie is a brown brindle Staffie with a tuxedo and really needs a bow-tie! He is a little rotund but oh so cuddly. Staffie lovers delight and he could easily be a first time Staffie owners treasured dog. Such a pleasing personality and disposition. So pleased to have him with us and to help him find his family.

Kitty – 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Homing requirements: Kitty would enjoy a dog experienced home behind her but they could be first time Staffie owners. She presents as meek and mild but within a supportive home she will be a confident and very loving dog. Kitty needs a secure garden and exit management. A training course would support her first few months within a new setting.

Her Story: Kitty was found stray after the new year and promptly came into season. Her pound held her for us awaiting time to allow us to spay her on arrival. We took another dog in her original place as a favour! Kitty is now spayed, chipped and under going vaccination.

Advert: Kitty is cute! She can be very kitty-like; coy, suggestive of a strokes regime and loves to be curled up in the warm. She definitely enjoys the adventure of her walks and meets dogs well. She is curious and alive to all that moves and glistens, but retains connectiveness with her companions. Kitty has ‘skinny fur’: most of her fur is skin-like is its softness and almost absent of fur. She will need special care to protect and keep her skin in good condition. Currently flakey and sparse.

Kitty is a larger Staffie cross with a sweet, sweet Staffie nature. She is probably 17″ to the shoulder and coming up to 2 years old. She is a little over weight which reflects her inactivity in the kennels, and she has been in kennels for 3 months so far. She is camera shy and would much rather stand next to your legs or have her nose to the ground!

Please visit Kitty’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra86991.php#86991 to find out if she is still available and for fuller details.

Mabel – 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Mabel is a 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Shar Pei, we think, she’s around a Boxer size so she may be part Boxer also. She was homed as a 5 month old pup in with an older male Staffie and a cat. Her owners were having problems and tried to rehome Mabel. Their dogs had a fight, neither needing vet care but Mabel was taken to the vets to be put to sleep as the owners couldn’t cope with the 2 dogs any more. Instead of putting her to sleep they paid to have her spayed, 1st vaccinated and micro-chipped.

Mabel is in boarding kennels hoping for a family to love.Mabel needs a confident home who will love Mabel and support her with her nerves around other dogs. She also needs management around lead play but chain lead suffices currently. She needs to be an only pet so she can relax and soak up all the love going. Secure garden with exit management as ever.

Mabel is unusual looking; her stunning folds and globe nose lead you to Boxer (particularly her red and white fur patterning). She is a small Boxer bitch size, strong and needs an experienced handler as she plays with her lead. We always advise against ‘tug of war’, so a chain lead is distracting her currently, which isn’t that difficult. She is very connected with her walker, very affectionate and proving to walk alongside other dogs well and respectfully.

Mabel is about 18″ to the shoulder. Red coat with a black tinge at the ends of her fur, bold white around her neck and knee length socks. Her face, wow amazing look, with soulful eyes particularly at the moment in her hour of need. Mabel’s need is a family to love … she is still a baby and needs nurturing and to belong.

Please visit Mabel’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra84977.php#84977 – to find out if she is still available and for fuller details.
