Zookie – 5 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Please meet Zookie, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, female, approximately 5 years old. She is brown and white and she is small to medium in size. Zookie is well mannered, playful, affectionate and a pleasure to walk – a real sweetheart. She will ignore dogs when out of the kennel but will get upset in the kennel if challenged by any of the other dogs – for this reason we feel she would be better as an only dog or with a calm sensible male.

Poor Zookie has damaged her tail after becoming stressed in the kennels and this has resulted in two operations where part of it has been amputated. She is having to wear her buster collar alot of the time poor girl.

She would love to be out of the kennel environment and being part of family life with her new owners. She will be Neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to being rehomed. Rochdale Dog Rescue do not rehome to families where there are children under 10 years old. All homes will be homechecked. We also offer a lifetime support for all of our dogs.

Cooper – 2 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross

Please meet Cooper, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, male, approximately 2 years old. He is brindle and white, he has a smooth coat and he is medium in size. Cooper is very friendly, calm and laid back, he knows basic commands and he is really good with other dogs (see above with his friend Dolly) and possibly cats – he was scared when he met one!

Cooper is adorable, he loves to sit on your knee… and he’s been giving kisses to the goat! He also appears to be good with the older children he has met. He’s a lovely dog – a star! Cooper will be neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped prior to being rehomed.

Elsie – 2-4 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Please meet Elsie, Staffie Cross, female, approximately 2-4 years old. She is brown with brindle patches and white on her chest, she has a smooth coat and she is small to medium in size. Elsie is a very sweet pretty little girl who sits for a treat and gives lovely gentle kisses. She has a fun playful side too and just wants to be loved!

Elsie has come on in leaps and bounds since she first arrived and can’t wait to be in a loving family home – she loves to play and interacts well with the older children she has met. She would however need to be the only dog in her new family.

Jade – 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Please meet Jade, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, female, approximately 2 years old. She is dark brindle with white on her chest and toes and she is small in size.  Jade is a very friendly, happy and waggy girl who gives lovely kisses! She is really affectionate and cuddly and as she is small can snuggle perfectly on your lap.

Poor Jade can’t wait to be part of a family again and is not very happy at the kennels and would ideally like a family where people are around for at least part of the day. She would also like to be the only dog. She walks well on the lead and is a good traveller.

Gucchi – 1-2 year old male American Bulldog

Please meet Gucchi, an American Bulldog, male, approximately 1-2 years old. He is white in colour and he is medium to large in size. He was very thin when he came to us and had sores on his legs. He was found abandoned in a property in December 2010 and taken to a pound in the Midlands in early January 2011. He has funny shaped back legs which we think may be due muscle wastage through being confined in the past. The has been given the all clear by the vets and can have a normal level of excercise.

Gucchi is the most adorable boy! He is happy and waggy – he loves his food and is good with other dogs. He’s an all round happy boy who just loves everybody and everything he meets!

Gucchi is like a young puppy and loves to play and have tickles and hasn’t got a bad bone in him – but due to his size he would be too clumsy to be in a home with younger children. He does ignore the cat at the kennels so may be able to live with a cat if introduced properly.

He can be worried in new situations and get a little frightened so we ideally would like his forever home to be reasonably local to us so that his new family can come and visit him a few times before he goes home.
