Sampson – 2 year old male Rottweiler

This little chap came into Rottie Rehab at 20 weeks old back in May 2010. Unfortunately, he has come back in due to no fault of his own. Sampson is a very small Rottie with a huge personality & oodles of character. He is castrated, microchipped & fully vaccinated. Sampson loves to play in water & watch television. He walks beautifully on the lead, good with other dogs, loves his cuddles & would climb in your pocket given half the chance, he will follow you to the ends of the earth. Sampson is not too keen on men in the house as we think he has been mistreated by one (although we are working on this) but fine with them outside.

Sampson is such a little gem that you can’t help but fall in love with him. Can you give this mini man a loving home?

Heidi – 13 month old female Rottweiler

Heidi came into Rottie Rehab on 06 March 2011 from an older gentleman who just couldn’t give her the exercise she needed. She is a 13 month old bitch who is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Heidi is a stunning girl who is very obedient, walks beautifully on and off lead, fantastic with other dogs and children. The only thing Heidi doesn’t like is cats! She is a very loving girl who is easy going, nothing phases her. Heidi loves swimming and playing with her toys. She is a really genuine girl. Can you give this gorgeous girl her forever home?

Zeus – 4 year old male Rottweiler

Zeus is a 4 year old Rottweiler boy who came to us from Lancashire on 23 March 2011, he has been in kennels for 5 months as his owner no longer wanted him through no fault of his own and he was losing weight rapidly as he was very stressed being in there. Zeus will be castrated, microchipped and fully vaccinated before he is rehomed. He is a gorgeous boy who loves to play and have cuddles, he is very affectionate but needs a home that understands big breeds as he would push the boundaries given half a chance.

Zeus is great on and off the lead, knows his manners, knows, sit, down, stay, play and roll over. He has clearly been loved at some point. He is good with dogs, great with cats but has no history of living with children so a home without children or older children would be a must. Zeus is great fun and very gentle and will give someone many years of happiness. He is currently in foster with a chocolate Labrador and we have been told that he is a really easy dog and a joy to have.

Can you give this lovely chap the forever home he deserves?

George – 18 month old male Rottweiler

Well what can we say about cheeky George! George came to us on 24 March 2011, was almost emaciated and clearly been beaten. He is gradually gaining weight and strength. George is a real character and into everything. He is approximately 18 months old, is castrated, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Considering what he has been through, George is so very affectionate and follows you everywhere wanting to know what you are doing and sneaking a cuddle at every opportunity.

He has to be the centre of attention and the best time of the day for George is feeding time (he gets very excited).

George is very obedient on and off the lead and loves to go out exploring the countryside. He happily mixes with all our dogs but does take a dislike to the odd few when he’s out. We have no history of George with children so he wouldn’t be suited to a house with young children. He really is adorable.

Can you offer this cheeky chap his forever home?

Zak and Roxy – 3-4 year old male and female Rottweilers

Meet Zak and Roxy who came to us on 26 March 2011 from a yard in Sheffield. Their owner had asked someone at the yard to look after them for a couple of weeks while he moved house but he never came back. They are the softest two Rotties you could ever meet, they know their manners too they’re gentle, obedient on and off lead, they know sit, down and paw, are house trained so clearly they have been loved and looked after when they were with this person.

Zak and Roxy

They are both approximately 3-4 years old, will be neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated when rehomed. Roxy is a stunning girl and Zak is very large but the most gentle of giants.

Every time he comes up to you you just want to throw your arms around him and hug him and he loves it too (always wanting more), he is a serious cuddle monster but beware he does like to sit on your lap! Roxy spends most of her time on her back wanting her tummy rubbed. They are currently enjoying exploring the countryside and are great on and off lead (Zak never strays far from your side while Roxy is enjoying learning about wild rabbits, dream on Roxy!).

They are both good with smaller dogs and would probably learn to like others if socialised properly. They have no history with children although they are so soppy I think the only danger they would be is if Zak sat on a child! Zak and Roxy need to be rehomed together so if you have a big house you would be their ideal forever home.

Can you offer these two gentle giants their forever home?

Floyd – 15 month old male Rottweiler

Floyd is a 15 month old Rottweiler boy who came to us in June 2010, he had been handed in to the RSPCA in London. At 9 months old he was very underweight. We rehomed him in Devon but unfortunately the family’s situation changed so he has come back to us. Floyd is now 15 months old and it’s like he’s never been away, he has fitted straight back in as he is a really laid back boy and takes everything in his stride. Floyd is castrated, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Floyd has been brought up with children, is good with other dogs and is excellent off lead. He is a really cheeky, playful chap with a heart of gold and a fabulous temperament, a real pleasure to have around.

Can you give this wonderful boy his forever home….you really won’t be disappointed.

Emily – 4 year old female Rottweiler

Emily is a gorgeous 4 year old female Rottweiler who has been owned by the same family since she was 6 weeks old. Emily has grown up with four other dogs and is very affectionate. She has great bloodlines, is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Emily loves to work, she loves agility, is fabulous on and off the lead and her recall is excellent. Emily does not really like small children so a home with none or older children would be important and as she is quite a dominant bitch she would be better suited to living as an only dog or with male dogs. Can you offer this gorgeous girl a new home?

Roxy – 18 month old female Rottweiler

Roxy is a young Rottweiler girl around 18 months old. She arrived with us early October. Unfortunately, her foster space fell through so she will have to go to the kennels tomorrow. In the mean time she is at home with us so she can see our vet on Monday.

Roxy is happily living alongside a female Rottie, a male Rottie cross and a little Jack Russell. She is fine with all of them. But can get jealous for attention. She is house trained, excellent on the lead, loves the car and is a very sweet girl when she knows you.

Roxy has been in kennels for a long time, although has fallen straight back into home life without a problem. She will need a handler who is used to the breed and will give her a firm but fair environment. She will try to push her luck whilst finding her boundaries. She isn’t keen on being groomed and doesn’t like her feet touched although within 48 hrs we have taught her to give a paw and shake hands for a treat. Roxy has no history with children and we are still assessing her so she cannot go to a home with kids. She hates the kennels which is why we pulled her out in the first place even though the marvelous lady that saved her from being put to sleep did everything she could, she still became very stressed. Can you offer this gorgeous girl her forever home?

Byron – 3 year old male Rottweiler

Byron is a Rottweiler boy who is currently in a foster home and is proving to be a model house guest. He is totally clean indoors, very receptive to training and exceedingly affectionate. He loves vet nurses with biscuits, and even forgave the vet after his injection by leaning into him for a fuss. Although looking for guidance from his handler in new situations, he walks well on his Halti. Even putting his nose into it to help you!

He loves dinner time and has not shown any signs of food aggression towards his foster carer. He is very playful and loves his toys. He can be a little possessive over them but is easily corrected, and will improve further in time. However, Byron is not at all fond of cats. Overall, this lovable lad is an absolute softy looking for lots of fuss and a lovely new home. Could your home be right for brilliant Byron?
