Abbie – 3-5 year old female Greyhound
Abbie is a lovely little black girl from RoyalHeart Greyhound Rescue. She is currently in a foster home after two years in kennels. When we went to collect her she was sitting with her food bowl hanging out the side of her mouth waiting to get fed. She a quiet girlie and rarely barks. She is good with other dogs and children. Also brilliant on the lead. She is currently living with my other foster dog and they get on great. She is such a gentle dog.

Baxter, Cutes, Becks, Chunk and Ickle – 9 week old male and female Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Meet Baxter, Cutes and Becks (boys) and Chunk and Ickle (girls) five 9 week old Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppies looking for a new home. Their mum, Rosie badly needed a rescue space as her time in the pound down south was up and she was due to be put to sleep and so, even though we are a Greyhound rescue, we took her in.
Rosie was suspiciously “plump” when she arrived and on 16/05/10 gave birth to six healthy Staffordshire Bull Terrier pups. Despite Rosie’s unfortunate start in life she is a darling girl and an absolutely wonderful Mum !! She is making a superb job of looking after her four handsome boys and two beautiful girls. The pups are very happy, healthy and active and have had their first vaccinations. They will need homes with owners where there is someone around for most of the day.
The pups will have to be neutered or spayed in the future as part of the adoption agreement. We do homechecks for all of our dogs and a Vet reference may be required. Dogs will usually only be rehomed within the Strathclyde Region.

Molly is a beautiful, mainly white, 4 year old, female, ex-racing Greyhound. She seems fine with children and with most dogs, but would not be homed with cats. Molly has had a large number of races in her past life, and up till now hasn’t seem much more than a kennel and the racetrack. As a result, she is very curious about the outside world.
Kali – 4 year old female Greyhound
Kali is a beautiful, brindle, 4 year old, female, ex-racing Greyhound. She seems to be fine with children and also seems fine with most dogs, but would not be homed with cats. She had a large number of races in the past and hasn’t seen much other than the racetrack in her young life so far. She is absolutely fascinated by everything she sees in the great outdoors.
Clio – 3 year old female Greyhound
Clio is a lovely, black, 3 year old female, Greyhound. She came into the kennels with her brother Bertie and it would be lovely if they could go to a home together. Clio is a gentle girl. She is very loving towards people and is fine with children. She is also fine with other dogs and is possibly cat trainable as she has never raced. At present she is living in a foster home.
Bertie – 3 year old male Greyhound
Bertie is a sweet, black, 3 year old, male, Greyhound He came into the kennels with his sister Clio and it would be lovely if they could get a home together. He is a very gentle boy, who travels well, loves people, is fine with children and gets on with other dogs. We do not know how he would get on with cats, but he is possibly cat trainable as he has never raced. At present he is living in a foster home.

Goldie – 3 year old male Greyhound
Goldie is a 3 year old, male, ex-racing Greyhound. He is a big, gentle, golden boy and is quiet and clean in his kennel. He travels well in the car. Goldie is very people friendly and is fine with children. He likes playing with footballs. He seems to be fine with other dogs. We don’t think he could live with cats. Goldie is an absolutely stunning and magnificent dog!

Bill – 6 year old male Greyhound
Bill is a, 6 year old, male, ex-racing Greyhound. He retired from the racetrack a few years ago. Bill has lived in a home, but was returned to kennels through no fault of his own when his owner became ill and was no longer able to look after him. He is at present in a foster home where he is described as a “flawless” dog. Bill is very people friendly and would melt your heart. He is fine with children and other dogs, but we do not think he could live with cats. We call him “Beautiful Bill”.
Hoopy – 2-3 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Hoopy is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the Vet thinks he is between 2-3 years of age. He came up to Scotland from an emergency boarding rescue down south. This boy was in a local pound and as his time was up, he was due to be PTS. He was already neutered and is now vaccinated and microchipped. No-one who meets this adorable boy can understand why he was unclaimed. He has obviously had some training and will for example sit for a biscuit.
Hoopy absolutely loves travelling in the car!! Since arriving at the kennels he has been on many daily outings where he had very close contact with a Lab and a Staffie X (bitches). All was very friendly with no problems at all. He has also been out and about in situations where he met all kinds of dogs – he was a very friendly boy most of the time, but we suspect he might try to dominate a more timid dog. He is a strong, healthy, active dog. At the moment he is very strong on the lead, but that may in part be because he is so excited by all the new people, sights and smells. As he is very amiable and very fond of his treats we think it wouldn’t be that difficult to train him to walk more calmly.
Hoopy is incredibly affectionate and utterly adorable and likes to give you lots of kisses! He is absolutely stunning and a complete delight to be with – none of his photos do him justice! He has met lots of children on his outings and has always been very, very affectionate towards them. However, as we don’t know his history we will not rehome Hoopy to a home where there are young children or cats. We think that after suitable introductions, he could live happily with another confident dog or bitch.
The ideal home for Hoopy would be an active one with some experience of Staffordshire Bull Terriers or similar strong breed. We would prefer that he lived in a home with a garden and high fences.
