Buster II – 11 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Buster II is an 11 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier boy who has just come in after his owners handed him in to the stray kennels. Although he is an older dog, he looks and acts much younger.

Buster is a very well behaved, quiet lad and travels well in the car. He enjoys going for long walks and playing catch with a ball. Buster is a lovely, friendly dog and we just hope someone will see past his age and realise what a lot he has to offer.

Rio – 2 year old male Cross-Breed

Rio is a medium size cross-breed boy aged 2 years. He is very nervous of new people and situations and has sometimes runs round strangers he meets and tries to nip. Once he knows you are okay he is friendly. Because of this Rio needs experienced owners who can help build his confidence and a fairly quiet home with no children. Our trainer, Janice, will be on hand to help with this behaviour. Apart from this, Rio is generally well behaved and is fully housetrained.

***Update on Rio***

We were told by his previous owners about him running round people and nipping but we have seen no evidence of this since he has been with us. He can be a bit funny with other dogs sometimes but Jan and Lee have been walking him with their dogs and he behaves when told. Some staff at the rescue also took him to flyball with their dogs and said that he behaved quite well. We think he just needs to be shown his boundaries.

Sasha – 8 year old female German Shepherd Dog

Sasha is an 8 year old German Shepherd, she is a very friendly and affectionate girl who has sadly been returned to us after 6 years because of her owners health. Sasha is smallish for a German Shepherd and she doesn’t look or act her age, she loves to play football and run around. Sasha will need a special home as she does not like being in a house and will not settle indoors for long. She has been used to living in a large run and kennel. Sasha usually gets on with other dogs but doesn’t like cats. She looks a bit scruffy in the photos but is booked in for a bath and grooming session.

Buster – 3 year old male Labrador cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Buster is a 3 year old Labrador cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier. As you would expect with a mix of these breeds, he is boisterous and lively but very good natured and friendly. He likes other dogs and just wants to play but doesn’t like cats. Buster is very strong and a bit giddy so would be too much for young children but would be fine with older children or teenagers.
