Rusty – 3 year old male Jack Russell Terrier
This is Rusty and he is a 3 year old male Jack Russell Terrier. No one at the centre can understand why Rusty has been here for over 3 months! He is a cheeky lad who loves to be with people and have a fuss. Rusty is looking for an active owner as he has buddles of energy and loves to run.

When sitting in his kennel at night Rusty dreams of running in field of long grass with someone who loves him as much as he loves them. Imagine you could be the one to make his dreams come true! Rusty is able to live with children 15+.

This is Scraps and he is a 1 year old male Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, who has been at Blackberry Farm for over 6 months. He is a lovely lad and is desperate to find someone to love him! He may not be the best looking dog on the block and can be a little silly at times, but deep down he is a real sweetheart that just needs to be shown some kindness. We had to tell him over Christmas that his new mum and dad were coming for him in the new year, as he got very sad watching all his friends go to their new homes!

Scraps can live with children 14+. He will need some basic training but with the correct routine and exercise he will soon settle into family life. So please help Scraps be happy again.

Hi I’m Button Moon or just Button to my friends. I’m a 5-7 year old Neapolitan Mastiff girl, I can tell you how I came about being at Blackberry Farm, although it does bring back sad and lonely memories for me!
I was found by an inspector wondering around a small town in Buckinghamshire, I was so scared and nervous that it took the Inspector ages to catch me and then get me in his van! I was extremely underweight and all my bones stuck out and I had a serious problem with my eye. They told me when I got to the vets I had Cherry eye, I did not understand what this meant, but I knew both my eyes were very sore and I couldn’t even see out of one of them! They managed to remove 4 grass seeds from my tear ducts and I was to await as operation to help with the Cherry Eye.
I then went to Blackberry Farm and was so scared they had to carry me to my kennel. I was a shell of a dog and seemed to have no personality. Well days past and the staff spent lots of time with me and they won my trust! I had the operation to save my eye, and thank goodness it worked. Since the operation I have come on leaps and bounds and just love life!
I love the girls at the centre and am so grateful they showed me how to love again. I am slowly but surely starting to like the male staff too, although I still find them a little scary.
I love dogs and have many doggy friends. I need a really special home and I feel as I am nervous this should be an adult home only, i am extremely nervous of the male humans, and shy away from them, this is something that I may always feel and need my confidence building very slowly, I do not like to be rushed! My adopters need to be very experienced as it wouldn’t be fair on me if you weren’t. I am currently still undergoing medical treatment but I hope to be available soon.
Please get in touch to find out a little more about me…

Meet Scraps, a fun loving excitable 1 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who really needs someone to allow him into their family as he is very stressed in kennels. Scraps will need to live with someone at home during the day as he may need reminding of house training and teaching to be left.

Scraps would be better to live as an only dog as he can get quite over the top with dogs, he will need a cat free zone and could live with children 15 and older. If you are very active and need to spice up your life then maybe Scraps is the dog for you.
4Aug2009 | RSPCA Blackberry Farm Buckinghamshire | READ MOREBrodie – 4 year old male German Shepherd Dog
None of us at the centre can quite understand why Brodie the extremely handsome, 4 year old German Shepherd is still here! He is a beautiful lad with a cracking personality. Unfortunately Brodie was neglected in his previous home and he was very thin and nearly bald. This never dampened his spirits and he’s the life and soul of the party. Brodie is excellent with other dogs and can live with children 10 and older. He’s been at the centre for months now and really needs his ‘forever home’.
Brodie will need someone around for most of the day as he have spend the last 7-8 months in kennels so may need reminding of home life, although sometimes the girls sneak him in their room when doing nights at the centre and he soon adapts to the bed and television. If you can give Brodie a loving active home then please call us at Blackberry Farm.

Flower is a sweet 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, he was brought in via an inspector and we have no background information on him. Flower is a friendly chap who loves life, he has been very good with dogs at the centre but he is a little demanding and OTT so would be better as an only dog.
Flower will need training classes booked before he leaves the centre and is looking for someone at home during the day as he may need reminding of house training and teaching to be left.
Flower needs a cat free zone and can live with older children. Flower is ever so sad as being a Staffi he knows it will be hard to find a home. People just walk past and don’t even give him a 2nd glanced, could you be that person who makes his dreams come true.
9Mar2009 | RSPCA Blackberry Farm Buckinghamshire | READ MOREDaffodil – 2 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Daffodil is an 2 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier female who is looking for a loving new home. She is extremely hyper and full of beans, she takes a while to calm down but is a sweetie when she does.
Benji – 8 month old male Border Collie
Benji is an 8 month old Border Collie, he was re-homed from Blackberry Farm as a 14 week old puppy and was sadly returned to us as his previous owners couldn’t cope with his high chase instinct. Due to this high chase instinct Benji needs a very experienced owner who has a lot of time and patience, who will give him plenty of exercise and take him to training classes along with other activities such as agility.
Benji is crate trained and has basic commands, he needs a cat free zone but can live with dogs and children 10 years and over. If you want to rescue a real dog in need and have the experience to cope with Benji then give Blackberry Farm a call.
