Wren – 8 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Jack Russell Terrier
Wren is a cheeky Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Jack Russell Terrier, she is a lovely sweet lady and at 8 years old should be curled up on someone lap, unfortunately she is waiting for that special someone at the kennels and is becoming quite stressed! Wren was taken off her owner due to her being severely starved, she wasn’t walked and rarely got outside.
Wren can live with experienced owners, she is better to live as an only dog, she does mix with some dogs but does not like dogs in her face and she can get quite jealous, on walks she is happy to ignore dogs and keep out of there way, she needs a cat free home and can live with older children.

Jack is a lively bouncey chocolate Poodle who is 1 year old. He is a lovely boy who has had a bad start to life, he was being kept in terrible conditions at a puppy farm and has never lived in a home environment. Due to living in a kennel he will need house training and general socialising. Jack is very excitable and can become a little mouthy so is looking for an experienced owner to teach him some manners.
Jack is a real character, he can live with dogs and older children 15 +. He has never lived with cats and wasn’t very interested in them at the centre, so with experienced people and a confident cat he could possibly live with one if introduced correctly. Jack will need to have training classes and is looking for a very active owner, who will give him not only plenty if exercise but also lots of mental stimulation.

Charlie is a 2 year old English Bull Terrier who came to the centre as a cruelty case after being starved and tied to the kitchen work top! He is extremely well rounded even after his background and is a really lovely boy. Charlie is good with most dogs and could live with a female, although he can get a little over the top with tennis balls so this would need to be controlled if living with another dog. Charlie could not live with cats and can only live with older children.
Charlie is a lively boy in the kennel and unfortunately he does bash himself on the walls and doors, which make him look like he has been in the wars! Once out of the kennel he is a lovely boy and soon calms down. He is desperate for the right home, where someone is around during the day to teach him to be left. Charlie will also need training classes booked!

Buffo is 5 years old and is a hairy crossbreed, he is a lovely boy and has been at the centre a while now and had no interest. Buffo came in as his owners could no longer keep him. Buffo can be a little unsure of dogs and this can cause him to be quite unsocial, but we have been working with him at the centre and he has become a lot better and response very well to this.
Buffo is very lonely and really deserves someone to give him a chance, he has had no interest at all while at the centre and we can’t understand why. He could live with a quiet female dog, older children and a cat free zone.
Buffo will need regular grooming which he enjoys and also a regular cuddle!
Hairy McClarey – 1 year old male Patterdale Terrier
Hairy McClarey is a 1 year old Patterdale Terrier, he has sadly been returned to the centre as his previous adopter couldn’t cope with his lively behaviour. Patterdales are working dogs and need extensive exercise and training. He is a friendly boy who enjoys the company of people and will need someone around during the day, as he can be a little destructive when left. We will ask new adopters to take him to training classes once he goes home.
Hairy is best suited to live with older children, cat free zone, he mixes ok with females but pref better as only dog in house. Hairy is a lovely lad who needs an understanding and experienced owner. He is a typical terrier and needs someone who understand the Patterdale breed as they are not lap dogs, they are working dogs.

Melvin is an Olde Tyme Bulldog who is a loving vocal lad, he is 5 years old and looking for an experienced owner. Melvin came to us as his owners couldn’t cope any more. He is a lovely boy and enjoys a cuddle, but is sometimes a little demanding vocally so his new owners will need to stop this.
Melvin is a specialled breed who will need an extra special home. He can live with older children and quiet bitches but will need a cat free zone.

Bailey is a very energetic small cross-breed, he is a 1 year old and will need lots of training and exercise, manners aren’t his strong point! Bailey loves people and enjoys the company of other dogs, although he can get a little over the top so would need to live with an older confident dog. Bailey was known to suffer from separation anxiety in his previous home so he will need someone at home during the day to teach him to be left as he may get destructive if left for long periods.
Bailey is a lovely lad and can live with older children, he can live with a confident cat and will need someone very patient who can deal with lack of manners. Bailey will need to be taken to training classes which will help him on his way to become a loving companion.
Boris – 4 year old male Border Terrier Cross
Boris is a 4 year old Border Terrier cross and is looking for an experienced owner who can give him plenty of exercise. He is a cheeky lad who is full of life and energy and would love a new owner that understands the terrier breed and help to teach him some manners!
Boris would like a home with no cats or children but could live with a female dog. He is just desperate for a home he can call his own and someone to understand and love him!
Max – 10 year old male Jack Russell Terrier
Max is a gorgeous 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier, unfortunately Max is a little hard of hearing and cannot see all that well but that doesn’t stop him having fun. Max loves people and really loves dogs although he can get a little fruity! Max is looking for a loving owner who can be at home most of the day as he needs to be taught to be left! When speaking to a member of staff at work Max said that all he wanted was a warm comfy home for Christmas, and maybe his own prezzie under the tree!
Its so sad to see Max in his kennel as he is at a time in his life when he should just be able to relax and enjoy the finer things, instead of being lonely and sad in a kennel! If you can find it in your heart to help Max then please contact us at Blackberry Farm!
Autumn – 9-10 year old female Lurcher
Autumn a very loving Lurcher who was abandoned by her owner!! We don’t have an exact age on Autumn but we think she is 9 – 10 years old. Autumn loves walks and playing with other dogs. She is looking for a caring owner who is at home most of the day! She can live with a male dog and older children.
We think autumn has been used as a working dog so she will need a cat free zone and her owner will need to be aware she may like to chase the odd rabbit! Autumn is a real sweet heart and really deserves someone to show her the love she has been missing all these years!
